Silent flat in Gracia minutes 10 minutes walking from Sagrada Familia!
Silent flat between the Gracia neighborhood and the Sagrada Familia. Really good option for families: a lot of supermarkets in the area, shops, public playgrounds... 2 lines of metro close to the apartment.
The space
Apartment in the heart of Barcelona, at Gracia’s neighbourhood, recently reformed. Ten minutes walk from Sagrada Familia and 15 minutes walk from Paseo de Gracia, both are 1 km far away.
The flat is at the second floor and has a double sight. On the exterior site you will see a very quiet and silent passageway. By the way, a street as silent as this is very unique in Gracia, but it’s true! And you will be able to experience it. In the interior site, you will enjoy the private courtyard, very typical in the Barcelona’s architecture.
The house was built in the beginning of SXX. It has ceiling plaster cast, the bedrooms have still the floor with the original hydraulic tiles, and some of the furniture are from the early 40’s.

Nice Host, but place was so so
Ok location but be forwarned the stairs leading to the apartment are treacherous!
A total pain, literally to carry suitcases up.
Very narrow,uneven and slippery. We were aware that it's an older building but weren't prepared for those stairs. We both live in apartments with stairs so it's not that we aren't used to using stairs daily. The furniture isn't comfortable. Might be time to get some new mattresses. The place is set up for a family which seems to be very common in Spain. We are 2 adults so one of us had the grown up bed, the other the kids bunk bed. Roberto sent us a great list of mercados in the area. There's some bus stops not far away and a laundromat on the corner.

Dear Anne,
We know that the stairs are not the strong point of the apartment, but we also know that for the 99% of our guests it doesn't represent an issue.
Of course if we talk about old people or people with a particular health and physic condition it may be a problem, but as I said, in general, people rate more than positively the stay in our apartment.
Just today asking to a new guest who just arrived with a big suitcase, what about the stairs she didn't complain at all.
Regarding the bed dimensions (140 x 190) it's a new complain which I will consider if other guests will let me know hat this is a problem. Up to the date you are the first.
You can check Airbnb where I have hundreds of reviews to double check what I am saying (also regarding the stairs).
But since this (the bed, not the stairs) is something that I can improve I will be really pending on further feedback and react immediately purchasing a bigger bed to prevent further complains.

Lage
Wer autenthisch seinen Urlaub verbringen möchte ist in dieser Wohnung richtig. Am Besten hat uns die zentrale Lage und die sehr gute Anbindung an die öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel gefallen. Etwas ungünstig ist, dass das Fenster des Kinderzimmers in das Badezimmer mündet, d.h. bei geöffnetem Kinderzimmerfenster konnte man weder duschen noch das Licht im Bad anmachen (der Warmwasserboiler war sehr laut). Die Kommunikation mit Roberto, dem Vermieter war per Whatsapp sehr gut. Er war sehr hilfsbereit.
