Enjoy complete privacy while still being just an 8-minute drive from downtown Huntsville, a vibrant town with fantastic shops, restaurants, and year-round activities. Whether you’re into hiking, swimming, skiing, spa days, or yoga classes, there’s always something to do—no matter the season.
The cabin features a cozy wood-burning fireplace, a private hot tub for stargazing soaks, and an outdoor shower available during the warmer months. Unwind with a good book, watch the sunset from the deck, or gather around the bonfire for a classic Muskoka evening.
Whether you're looking for a romantic weekend, a solo reset, or a nature-filled adventure, the Aux Box Cabin is your peaceful hideaway in the woods.
Things to note:
Good cell reception and high speed Starlink internet
There is no water access at the Aux Box, but public water access is on Brunel road close by as well as a boat launch.
Good winter tires are required in the winter months
outdoor shower is only available during warmer months- usually May- Oct depending on the temperature

Hi! My name is Garth! I was born and raised in P.E.I and my wife Rebecca was raised on Vancouver Island. Our love for the water has inspired us to find a waterfront getaway. Several years ago we bought this property in Huntsville and quickly fell in love with the town and the water. At the time we had just a small cabin in place for accommodation. We have now built this modern retreat to better enjoy our stay and to share the beauty of this place with others.
Why they chose this property
Wolegib retreat is brand new and very unique. We love Scandinavian design and have used that as our inspiration for this house. The front door is less than 100 ft from the water which has a large dock and calm waters for swimming. It is very private with no neighbors close by and conservation land across the way. We are also less than 10 min from downtown Huntsville where you can enjoy great restaurants and shops. In the winter there are also many activities including: Downhill Skiing, Snow shoeing, Cross country skiing, Hiking, Skating and more!

We have equipped the house with all the amenities you should require during your stay. We have 3 children of our own so the place is geared for families. We have an outdoor playground as well as a recreation room with toys, books and a ping pong table.
