Chateau L'Auberge is a private condominium complex, located on the grounds of the renowned L'Auberge Del Mar Luxury Resort. Your stay includes guest privileges at the hotel, while enjoying the privacy and additional space of your own condominium. This is the perfect location for couples, visiting professors, or executives looking for an exclusive stay. The University of California San Diego (UCSD) and many world-class hospitals are within a 15 min. drive of the unit. Enjoy the sparkling hotel pool, a jacuzzi, fitness room, ocean view tennis courts, and an upscale spa.

This particular unit is the largest of all single units in Chateau L'Auberge. It is located on the 'quiet' side of the building, and offers a private, gated entrance. The large outdoor patio is perfect for relaxing, enjoying a cocktail or barbecuing. You will enjoy timeless, teak furnishings, a gorgeous built-in gas grill, and an outdoor shower. The patio is stocked with all of your beach needs. Beach chairs, umbrellas, and towels are all yours to enjoy, during your stay. Inside this recently updated condo, you will enjoy a fully equipped granite kitchen with newer appliances, gorgeous 100+ year old poplar wood floors, classic moldings, and soothing, chic California coastal decor. This large one-bedroom unit is setup for a couple who prefers more room than a typical hotel suite. The L-shaped master bedroom boasts a brand new, dual sided adjustable memory foam king-sized bed, a 65 inch Samsung Smart Frame TV with added Q-Symphony Soundbar and a spacious sitting area, perfect for reading and relaxing. A large walk-in closet offers custom built-in storage, and the master bath provides dual shower heads and instant hot water. For additional privacy, simply close the gorgeous wood pocket door and utilize the queen-size Murphy Bed, including a memory foam gel topper in the main room. There is a full-sized second bath, with a tub and shower enclosure. The main room is complete with custom built-in cabinetry, a Samsung Smart TV and a real wood-burning fireplace. Coin/App Pay laundry facilities are conveniently located near the unit, and the one free outside parking space is a bonus. The hotel pool is just steps away and there is a private footpath to guide you to the beach. Fabulous restaurants and boutique shopping are within a short walking distance, and the famous Del Mar Racetrack is just down the road. Whether you are looking for that memorable romantic getaway or a longer executive stay, this is the perfect place to relax and unwind.

Perfect Del Mar beach stay

We loved our time at this Del Mar beach condo. Lisa was very responsive to anything we needed, the location was a short walk to the beach, and the condo was very clean and decorated nicely. It was the perfect spot for us to visit family and enjoy the beach with our three young kids. There were beach toys, boogie boards, and a surf board available to use. Access to the L’auberge pool and amenities was a big plus. We hope to be back soon!

I appreciated the great communication from the owners. The unit has everything you need and the location is great! This is a lower level (walkout basement type) unit that faces a large patio. There is plenty of space in the unit and on the patio. There is no air conditioning and I found the temperature a little uncomfortable. The owners gave me directions to use the portable air conditioners, but they were too loud for talking or sleeping. Given the location, there was very little natural air flow and no ocean breeze. Other than the temperature of the unit, which may not bother others, this was a perfect stay.

Everything we wanted and more!

My family of 3 planned to visit the Del Mar area to visit friends and enjoy the "Southern California" lifestyle. This property checked every box we were looking for and more. Lisa, the host, was fantastic. Her handyman was also. There is a private entrance to the property's patio which made this unit extra special compared to others we saw. We have a seven year old and wanted some private outside space for them. We loved having access to the resort but also having the amenities of a private residence. The laundry room was next door to the unit. It is coin operated but offered an additional service to use a credit card. The kitchen was nicely equipped with everything you would need to cook during your stay. We walked to a park, playground, beach, restaurants, shops. Everything else we needed was less than a 10 minute drive. We are already planning our next trip back.

We loved our stay at this Del Mar beach house! This beautiful, immaculately-maintained, beach property is so welcoming and its private, gated patio entrance makes it feel more like a house of its own than a condo. Perfect location and stay in walkable Del Mar

I stayed for 8 days in this lovely condo in downtown Del Mar. Most of the trip I was alone and working from home (good wifi for work at home). The last few days a girl friend joined me and we enjoyed all that Del Mar offers. The condo is very well equipped and Lisa is a responsive and supportive host. I cannot think of anything I would want that she hasn't already thought of to make for a comfortable stay. Great place to call home when wanting to be walking distance to the beach and restaurants. I highly recommend.

We use to live in SD 10 years ago and finally got back for a visit. We found this placed and booked it. Lisa was very helpful and communicated effectively. We arrived early due to flying from the Eastern Time Zone. She there waiting to check us in earlier than our scheduled time. I just spent 42 nights at Lisa's Beach House in Del Mar, CA. Lisa , the owner, is a wonderful hostess and was always there if I needed something. The location couldn't be better, the condo had everything I needed for my lengthy stay. Well recommended.

Perfect Stay

This is a beautiful condo with a full kitchen, family room, lovely private outdoor space just a short walk to the perfect Del Mar beach. It is truly a magical spot, the best in all of Del Mar. We walked down each night to watch the sun set, have a drink at Jake's, boogie board in the ocean. My kids loved the surf board provided and also the boogie boards, lawn chairs and beach toys. It is great to use the pool and facilities at Auberge Del Mar but still have more space and a kitchen which you don't get at the hotel. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We are a local San Diego couple, who spends as much time as possible at the beach.

Why they chose this property

We met on the beach in Del Mar, right after college. It quickly became a magical place for us. When we decided to have children, we knew that we wanted them to grow up with fun memories of Del Mar. Although we live quite close to Del Mar, we purchased this unit as a place for 'stay cations.' We absolutely love everything about our special condo. Access to the hotel amenities really allow us to feel like we have gotten away and relaxed. We enjoy spending the day on the beach, hitting the pool for a little jacuzzi time and then heading up to the plaza for dinner at sunset.

What makes this property unique

We chose this particular unit because it is larger than most of the units in the building and the private access into the large patio makes coming and going easy. The extra space in the patio, provides a nice outdoor area to relax, and we love to throw food on the grill after a day in the sun. We spent a long time searching for the 'perfect' unit. Being close to the beach was important, but we also wanted privacy. This unit has it all.
