We rented this place as we traveled for a HS graduation at the Nutter Center. The proximity between the two was perfect. As far as the house goes, it accommodated all four adults and two teenagers. Spacious rooms, a very nice open sitting room and dining. Very mid century modern feel.I was disappointed in the basics not offered such as extra towels, wash rags, paper towels, etc. I contacted the host (which was around 9p.m) and they had those things sent over but they couldn’t deliver to next day. The neighborhood was a bit questionable and run down but honestly we had no trouble. We did utilize the back patio for a bonfire and it looks like it needed some upkeep and cleaning. The hot tub did not work and the host did reach out to let us know that and was willing to fully refund us and cancel the booking if that was essential for the trip. Would I recommend this place honestly yes but the area was sketch and just that alone is why I would not recommend.

We appreciate you highlighting our quick communication regarding the hot tub; we always try to offer full transparency and flexible options (including full cancellations) if an amenity is undergoing unexpected maintenance. We sincerely apologize for the oversight regarding the extra backup towels and paper products during your stay. We have since reviewed our turnover checklists with our cleaning staff to ensure backup supplies are always fully stocked prior to check-in. Valewood is located in a developing urban neighborhood, with historic charm and unique mid-century-homes, that is beloved by locals for its character and central convenience, and we are glad you found it to be completely safe and trouble-free during your stay. Due to a location error within the listing taking us to a completely different area, we had concerns and had to make alternate arrangements. However, we did get a chance to walk through the property with the owner. Its obvious theyve put a lot of work and care into the home. The sunken living room was great, the kitchen spacious, and the library (which wasnt pictured in the listing at the time we reserved) was gorgeous! There are also some great amenities for those with young kids, like a booster seat, crib, and play area in the library. The neighborhood on a cul de sac was nice and quiet when we were there. The owners were very communicative and understanding of our situation. Wonderful people to work with!
