The house is a ten out of ten! Great space. However, if you like a cool house or at least the temp in the house to be around 70, it won’t happen here!
We arrived to the house an hour after check in time, and after two days of traveling on the road with a family of five. Needless to say we were ready to relax and get out of the car!
As we arrived I double checked our email to see if the check in instructions had been sent, which they still hadn’t been. I messaged the owner, texted and emailed. Reached out to VRBO customer service, sat in the driveway for an hour while VRBO attempted to contact the owner as well so that we could gain access to the house. To no avail, VRBO found us a hotel for the night. We get to the hotel and it was a dive! Mold, smelly and we had to check the beds for bed bugs before we unloaded our luggage.
As we were going to dinner now at 8pm, we get a phone call.. the owner says, “ there is an emergency number on the side of the box. You should have called it for a faster response.”
Oh, my bad I didn’t go snooping around the property trying to see if a door was left open.
Finally get to the house at 10pm. It’s 78 in there. We tried to contact the owner, no response until 6:30 am. “ it’s 75 outside, the house will cool down”
Day 2: come back to the house 78 again. Another message, no response until the next morning.. “will check ac”
Finally AC works. Gets no cooler then 74 in the house. They control the ac, not you.
No trash bags, no dish soap, no dishwasher tabs.. Very little cooking pans.
when booking make sure to pay for the heat in the pool or you will have none.
Made two phone calls, with no call back.
