Welcome to Kemp’s Kove — a one-of-a-kind Crystal Beach retreat owned and managed by a local family. With 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, and space for 14 guests across two private structures, this is the ideal home base for families, friend groups, and multi-generational getaways.

❖ The Space
Kemp’s Kove is made up of a main house and a private casita — perfect for groups who want to vacation together while having their own space. The main house features 3 bedrooms (K/K/Full over Full bunk), 2 full baths, a fully equipped kitchen, and a screened-in porch with a dining table for outdoor meals. The casita offers two floors of independent living, each with its own kitchenette and bathroom (Q down and 2 Qs up)— ideal for grandparents, teens, or anyone who values a little extra privacy.

❖ The Backyard
This is where Kemp’s Kove really shines. Step outside to your private fenced pool (heating available for $75/night Oct-April), a gas fire pit, and plenty of space for your group to unwind. It’s an entire resort — just for your group.

❖ Beach Ready
You’re less than a 5-minute walk to Destin’s sugar-white sand and emerald water. We include 8 beach chairs, a cooler, and a beach dolly with balloon tires so you can haul everything in one easy trip — no rental lines, no extra fees, no sweating it.

Situated at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac in Crystal Beach area of Destin with wetlands on one side, Kemp’s Kove offers rare privacy for a property this close to everything. You’re steps from the beach, and a few minutes drive from dining / shopping — but it feels like your own little world.

We’re a local family who loves this stretch of the Emerald Coast, and we want your stay to be exceptional. We aim to respond within the hour and are always happy to help make your trip special.

Book your dates before they’re gone — Kemp’s Kove fills up fast.

Primary guest must be at least 25 and stay at the property during the stay.

Please note that the Kemps Kove Bar (tiki bar) in the back yard burned down in May, I am working on replacing with a bigger bar currently working through permits. Please bear with me as we deal with this fire damage and rebuild. Apologies for the inconvenience.

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Please make sure pool fence is shut before leaving.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

Destin Trip—Would Definitely Recommend

Austin was very helpful and accommodating during our stay, going above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. The house was great and a five minute walk from the private beach access. We had several households staying together so the main house and the casita gave everyone their own private spaces. The house’s pool and backyard space was perfect for family dinners and hangouts. We definitely plan to stay again and highly recommend this property.

The main house was well thought out. From the furniture, to the appliances & all the extra creature comforts. The screened in porch was so delightful to sip coffee & enjoy the birds. The house was the last house on a dead end, so you didn’t see any other people. The backyard has a nice pool, yard games, a fire pit & PLENTY of seating for everyone. The tiki bar was a huge hit while grilling, a mini fridge to keep your drinks cold & a TV to watch the game! There is a bungalow in the back yard which is nice for those who are night owls & like to sleep late in the mornings. If you want to go to the beach, it’s a 2 block walk & the owners have LOTS of beach toys/chairs. The location to the grocery stores & shopping is very convenient but close enough to the excitement in Destin. The owner was very accommodating & super easy to get in touch with. If we return to Destin, this is where we will stay.

What an amazing week! In 23 years of booking through VRBO, this place was the most home-like and supplied with the essentials. The host was available to answer questions, give local recommendations, and was extremely kind. The set up of the property provided three separate living areas that allowed for privacy, but common areas, both inside and out, to gather together. Beach necessities were all provided and the private beach was quiet and absolutely beautiful.

This rental was perfect for our family. It was filled with thoughtful touches, comfortable furnishings, and full amenities that made our time there fun, relaxing and happy.
