Would you rent to Chaya again? NOOOOOO This guest was difficult from the beginning. She first started calling before her arrival, wanting to know if the home gets a daily cleaning, we answered that this is not something that’s done in vacation home rentals (unlike hotels). She also ordered a baby bed & high chair. Once there she decided that the high chair was to uncomfortable for her child and she was not going to use it (because the rental of both items for the 9 days cost $50). The daily phone terror continued with complaints about the lawn guys mowing in the morning, to the pool person coming to clean the pool, which is mandatory once a week to keep everything in good and clean shape. She was also extremely rude when we went by the home for the check in, saying she wasn’t letting anyone in because she wasn’t really “up for it”, it was a struggle to even get into the home (mind you, we have a welcome letter laying in each home letting guests know exactly when we will be coming for check-in) and during check out she also was at the home but didn’t open the door. She was only supposed to be in the home with 2 adults (herself & her mother) and 1 small child, for 9 days. Yet, every one of the 4 bedrooms was used, including the high chair & baby bed, which were both filthy from top to bottom! The home was a huge mess, pillows laid on lampshades, the kitchen was full of garbage, used diapers were on the floor, bed quilts where used pool side, and we could continue on. To top it all off, we then received a notice from her credit card company that she was disputing our charge because we subtracted $121.85 from her $500 security deposit refund (electricity charges, explained perfectly in her contract) and the usage of the baby bed and high chair, both of which were very clearly used. Judging by the way these guests left the home (we have documented everything with pictures) we should’ve kept the entire security deposit since it took the cleaning crew more than one day to put the place back in order, but we only kept what was agreed upon ahead of time. Again: Would you rent to Chaya again? NOOOOOO
