The “Cozy Corner” is a charming 3-bedroom cottage on Lake Witmer in Wolcottville

Come relax with the family in this 3-bedroom cozy lakefront cottage on Witmer Lake. This cottage features 2 king beds and 1 bunk bed perfect for a family getaway. With heating, AC, and a shower, guests will feel right at home. Witmer Lake is one of the best kept secrets of the Indian chain of lakes. It is located approximately 20 minutes from Shipshewana, 10 minutes from Lagrange and 45 minutes from Fort Wayne, Indiana. It consists of five lakes: Witmer, Dallas, Westler, Hackenberg and Messick Lakes. Witmer and Dallas are an all-sports lake and Westler, Hackenberg and Messick have a speed limit of 10 MPH great for fishing. You can enjoy sunsets and sunrises relaxing on the patio. Or just watch the boats, kayakers, and jet skis on the lake. Bring your fishing poles and fish off the seawall. We are also within walking distance from a lakeside diner. This area is Amish country, everyone is friendly and waves as they pass by!

Bedroom 1 has a king bed and a full size couch that pulls out and could sleep one adult or 2 children. Bedroom 2 has a king. Bedroom 3 has a bunk bed with full size mattresses.

This home has a large kitchen island that seats 5 and a high table that seats 4. There is also 3 seats for the littles at their own little table. The house has stainless steel appliances, a fully stocked kitchen, hair dryer, all linens, beach towels, WiFi, smart TVs in every room for streaming your favorite movies or shows. A washer and dryer is available. There are books, board and card games for your enjoyment. Outside are chaise loungers, gas grill and a fire pit for those cool evenings and life jackets (variety of sizes) are available. All bedrooms have ceiling fans.

Pets are allowed, limit of 2 dogs under 20 lbs with a fee of $15 per night per pet.

There is a public launch on Witmer and Westler if you decide to bring your own boat or there are several places to rent a pontoon in the lake area. Our pier is available to tie off your boat and is available from the 1st of April until the end of September. We have parking for 3 vehicles on the drive. Gas for the boat is available at the diner, Coody Browns, it’s near Cozy Corner.

Loved the house and the view. It was spacious for our family of 8. The house was very clean and tidy. The host had the house very organized and labeled, making it easy to find things. Also, loved the recommendation for restaurants and activities. When we visit the area again we will definitely be re-booking here!

My husband and I just celebrated our 40th anniversary. We have 2 children and 8 grandchildren. We love supporting them and going to all their softball, volleyball and basketball games! I’m retired and my husband works part time. We love lake life, it’s our happy place.

We chose this house because it’s very peaceful and friendly. Great community and great sunsets!!

What makes this property unique

We are on a corner lot by the bridge and we love to watch all the boats, kayaks and paddle boarders. We have a long seawall great for fishing if you don’t feel like getting the boat out.
