It was a perfect apartment for a weekend getaway to the MI beaches for our small family of 3. It was close enough to explore New Buffalo, Three Oaks, and Warren Dunes State Park, but a little removed to make it a peaceful stay. We loved the convenience of having two restaurants, a coffee shop, and an outdoor bar just steps away.
We had one little hiccup with a window AC unit not working, but it was replaced within a few hours of us messaging to let them know.
This was the worst experience I have ever had with VRBO. When we got to the property we had a code that allowed us to get into the apartment building, not into the apartment. We called the owner, and I gave her our confirmation #. She could find our reservation, but she claims that it shows as cancelled. She then told us that she had another property that she would give us for the same price. We drove ten minutes to Bridgman, where we found the house to be old, dirty and there were flies everywhere. It also had a very strong odor. We declined and she agreed to get us a credit. I then called VRBO customer service, where I spent 45 minutes talking with a representative trying to work through this issue. He agreed to give us a refund, but was not able to find me a comparable property that was pet friendly. Very disappointing. He told me that I could go to your competitors sites and book something and that VRBO would re-imburse me. I am disappointed that VRBO did not make this right. They should have found me a property instead of just offering the rebate. I lost half a day on Friday between talking to your customer service department and searching for a new place to stay.

Close convenient location for weekend getaway
Very close to town and breweries and wineries. Property was ok, nothing fancy but met our needs. We did not do much cooking onsite but if we did kitchen maybe could use a few more cooking utensils. Overall had a good stay

Great location!
Our door code given didn’t work and I had to call to get an alternate number. The apartment seemed smaller than the pictures appeared and could definitely have been cleaner. The location was excellent!

Weekend Beach Getaway
My husband, daughter, and I came up from Indy to spend a long weekend on the beach before the summer came to an end. We pulled up to the address and were surprised to see it was on top of a supermarket. We did arrive one hour early and walked into the market letting them know of our arrival. They were confused that new tenants were there for Unit #1. I showed them my email confirmation and they got on the phone with the property manager. The manager took some time to review his expected arrivals and after some time, finally said we were correct and he would have the place clean in an hour. The town was very cute and quaint a great location to the Warren Dunes. We came back an hour later and for the most part the place was clean. It wasn't until we started using the dishes that we noticed they had been put away without being washed. Food was caked on all the bowls, silverware, and cooking utensils. The kitchen was inadequately stalked. There wasn't even salt and pepper to use. The confusion about our check in and dirty dishes were the main downfall. Other than that it was a decent space. Beds and bathroom appeared clean. The brewery next door was a hit and we also enjoyed the market across the street! Will definitely come back to the area but will probably scope out another place to stay.
Myself, husband, and 2 kids (9 and 2) stayed here for 5 days to enjoy Lake Michigan Beach. Warren Dunes State Park was perfect for this as it was super close (5-10 min). It was pretty crowded on weekends but we still enjoyed ourselves and the week days there were less busy. Water was clear and beautiful.
The town of Sawyer is very tiny ans quaint in a good picturesque type way. The pictures are taken in winter so we were not too sure before we got there but once arriving we felt safe and loved the area. There is in ice cream parlor below us, a restaurant and bar right next door (but nothing that ever got rowdy), a coffee place next door, a market below us, and a fruit and veggie stand across the street. Everything you could need right there. There are also some very cute ans yummy cafes about 10-15 min down the road. There were train tracks right near the rental that do go by at night but with the a/c window units on my kids never woke up, and they are light sleepers.
The rental was very clean (and i am picky). Easy to get in and out of with plenty of parking. The rental was updated and finished nicely. I liked the decorations. Very cute. My kids were comfortable and liked it. It is a little tight with the big table but we mainly ate at the bar or couch. It does not have central air but we were enjoyed the window units and were never hot and didnt have a problem with this. Beds were super comfy and we slept great. TV and DVD player worked well and there are lots of channels to watch. Only thing i would say that could use improvement: there were only 3 bar stools and they seemed like they were about to fall apart. I even removed 1 because i was afraid the back would fall off while one of the kids were sitting on it. The pots and pans are very burned and burn food easily so it is probably time to replace them. And the air mattress one sleeps 1, which was not a problem for us but if the rental sleeps 6 i am not sure where the other person would go. But none of these were deal breakers and could be easily overlooked or fixed. Overall we had a great stay and would DEFINITELY stay again!!!
The 2 bedroom apartment was quiet and roomy for a 3 girl vacation. The owner quickly responded to questions. A brewery is directed across the street with a few shops. It us about 1/2 mile from the highway, so super convenient. The only downside was the outside hallway smelled strongly of cats. We never saw one and our apartment didn't smell. Bring paper towels and toilet paper. Overall it was a very nice stay.

Clean, new, nice
We rented this space for overflow company over the Labor Day weekend. Two couples and a baby. They were very happy there! It was clean and spacious and comfortable. No complaints. They did not take advantage of what is offered in that area, but knowing it as I do, it has a lot to offer. Sawyer Market and Greenbush Brewery are a couple of the most popular stops in the area. My son loved the coffee house just below the rental. We would definitely rent from them again!

Great Location For a Beach Getaway
This property was perfect for our stay! This location is only a 5 minute drive away from Warren Dunes state park beach, tons of restaurants and breweries close by. Also there is a convenient store / deli meat market directly under the unit and an Awesome Brewery and Beer Garden steps down the street. The rental unit was stocked well and the contact was very quick to respond to our questions and needs! Would definitely recommend this rental!

Overall a nice place but....
No WiFi, this is a big issue.
The couch needs to be replaced with a seamless sectional that way 2 people could easily sleep on it.
Parking was easy and the location is great.
