What makes this mountain cabin unique:
No checkout tasks - just make sure the fireplace is off and doors and windows are closed.
The drive up Chalet Village is a real mountain road - steep switchbacks and serious elevation gain. First-timers find it adventurous; by trip two, you'll drive it like a local. Sedans, minivans, and SUVs all make it. And every guest says the same thing once they arrive: "I've never been this high or seen a view like this." AWD recommended in icy or snowy conditions - salt trucks clear the road quickly since Ober ski resort is up here.
The cabin's three levels connect via a charming wooden spiral staircase - it's part of the cabin's character.
The king loft is the crown jewel - a full open-air third floor with the most dramatic views in the cabin. Floor-to-ceiling glass means the sunrise wakes you naturally (no blackout curtains on this level - embrace it). Twin bunks share the space, making it perfect for a family of four. The two queen suites on the lower level each have their own bathroom and full privacy.
Black bears call this mountain home - you may spot them from the deck!

This picture of a sunrise is exactly what you see when you wake up. I spent hours on the deck with a blanket and cup of hot tee. It is an amazing spot to unplug and go explore the park or just go for a stroll in the city (perfectly located). Property is nice and clean, well maintained cabin on the top of the mountain, with a great view from each level of the house. My family loved it and we would stay there again.
Host was extremely responsive and helpful, cabin was exactly what we were looking for. Romantic amazing view everything was extremely clean updated and most imperially comfortable. Wife and I could have locked ourselves in there for another week without leaving.
The most beautiful views from a cabin in 40 years of visiting the GSM. The sunrise over the mountains is breathtaking. The master suite is upstairs, large open concept with a private balcony. The main floor is also open concept for kitchen, dining and fireplace/living area. The lower level has two ample bedrooms, each with a private bath and the game room. All of those areas are full glass at one end open to the same beautiful view of both mountains and downtown Gatlinburg. Access to upper level and lower level is a single spiral staircase. It’s beautiful, however, be aware if you travel with anyone who may have mobility issues that this may be a challenge to access these bedroom areas. The cabin is the located at a dead end at the edge of the mountain- loved the privacy. Amy is an amazing, attentive host and we will stay here again.
The cabin is exactly as advertised! Dayna was fantastic to work with and very responsive. I have been to the Smokies many times and have never had such an incredible view and luxurious place to stay! My family and I will definitely go back when we visit the great Smokies again! My only regret is not being able to stay longer!
Beautiful clean cabin. If you want to see bears, stay here!! We had 15 bear appearances, mostly in the afternoon around 3-4pm. Dayna was amazing with responding to any questions we had. We will definitely stay there again.
The cabin was beautiful. Very clean and had everything we needed. I will say that the road up the mountain was a little rough for three city girls for sure. I would recommend for sure if you are traveling to Gaitlinburg!
The property was just as advertised and communication with the property manager was great. Be aware of the bears however as the cubs use the porches as a jungle gym. They are fun to watch. Gatlinburg is only minutes away as are all the activities. Would definitely book again if coming back to the area.
Had an amazing stay.
Cabin easily accommodates a large family with plenty of sleeping space and bathrooms for everyone.
3-Decks with incredible views of the mountains during the day and the city lights at night!!!
Be careful using the grill with out a watchout for the bears! They are a plenty and will sneak up on ya, lmao!!!
We loved it!!!

Haha, yes indeed, those bears sometimes will invite themselves to your cookout. Compliments to the chef! I'm so glad to hear you loved your stay. Come back and visit any time!
We came here for our honeymoon it was the most beautiful cabin we’ve ever stayed in. The views are like no other these pictures don’t even do it justice. Your not to far away from downtown but close enough. You have everything you need. I will definitely come back here. Best trip ever!! The morning sunrise and nightly sunsets are beyond beautiful!!! Loved every minute of it!!!
Everything about this property is amazing! Communication with the property owner before, during, and after my visit was quick and effortless. The cabin itself was truly jaw dropping with its open floor plan, over abundance of windows, spacious rooms, and fabulous amenities (pool table, hot tub, jetted tub, etc.). Last but not least the view was exactly as I had hoped for and more. There are no words to describe how beautiful it was. I will definitely stay here again the next time I am on the area. I certainly didn’t want to leave!!

Wow Jennifer, thank you for this spectacular review! And you are welcome back anytime.
This was a fabulous place! Incredible view. Super clean. We loved the hot tub, pool table, large kitchen and family room area with large TV and gas fire place. We loved waking up to the sunrise through the huge windows facing the Smokies. And it was beautiful at night looking down on Gatlinburg from high above. Well worth the cost for the stay. I highly recommend this place for families and adult getaways! The drive up the mountain could be a bit dicey if the weather was slick, but for me, the drive up there was a fun adventure! The cabin is at the end of a dead end, so it is very private. And we saw bears two out of the three days we were there! Great trip!

Thank you for this wonderful review James! I'm so happy you loved it! The view of downtown Gatlinburg at night still wows me no matter how many times I see it.
My family and I loved this house. The views are some of the best I have ever seen since coming to Gatlinburg. I wish I could describe them but its impossible. It was amazing to be able to see the lights of Gatlinburg right from the bed, and to wake up to the view. We also saw bear all around the house every day, no need to drive to Cades Cove..... The house itself has everything you need.. My dad enjoyed the coffee bar, and the beds were extremely comfortable, we slept like babies... I would recommend this house, and would love to stay here again...

Liked: Cleanliness, communication, location
Disliked: Listing accuracy
Our experience was mixed. First, we had to rebook the cabin because it had recently been sold to a new owner, which was a bit of an inconvenience. Upon arrival, we were locked out for about 20 minutes while trying to get in touch with the host to have our door code activated, as it wasn’t working at first. Once we got inside, we found the cabin to be very spacious, spread across three floors, each with its own deck offering an amazing view of the mountains and downtown Gatlinburg. We also loved that it was in close proximity to downtown, making it easy to get to restaurants and attractions. However, the amenities were quite dated and not well-maintained. The hot tub only had a few working jets on one side, the cover was ripped, and one of the wooden side panels was loose. The pool table was in poor condition, and the wooden floors on the bottom level appeared to have water damage and bubbling. The kitchen appliances and bathrooms were functional but definitely dated. For the price being so steep, we expected more updated features. There was only one older TV in the entire cabin, and the leather couches in the living area were ripped and patched. On a positive note, the beds were comfortable, including a king-sized bed, and the directions to the cabin as well as the check-in and check-out instructions were clear and easy to follow. Overall, it has great potential because of its size, location, and views, but it really needs some updating and maintenance to justify the price.
The only reason I'm giving this 5 stars is because I can't give it 6. First of all, Dayna is amazing. She is a very generous person. I can tell that she is just a great human being who cared about our anniversary trip. We feel blessed to have found her listing. Second, the property is just as advertised. I don't believe you can get a better view of the Smoky Mountains AND the City of Gatlinburg together. WOW! We flew in from Arizona and this was probably the best rental we've ever stayed in. Truly amazing. Lastly, as I stated before, as advertised. The road to the property is a mountain road. It's winding and steep. There are bears. They like when you BBQ. They are what made the trip even better for me. As with anything, treat them with respect and you shouldn't have any problems. Look no further, this is the place to stay in Gatlinburg. The worst part of the trip was having to leave.
