A private luxury Villa and retreat center overlooking the ocean nestled into the cliffs on the northeast side of St. Thomas. There are three main pods built into the cliffs along the ocean's edge that offer 9 bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, and multiple indoor and outdoor common areas. The Main Villa (Homebase), The Vision, and the Treehouse are connected by shared decks and community space, perfect for everything from yoga and stargazing to hanging out by the fire pit next to the infinity-edged pool.



-The Main Villa-

The Main Villa is where it all begins. As you walk through the arches from the driveway, the mountainside courtyard reveals itself to your right, a few more steps, and an expansive open kitchen with an ocean backdrop is on your left. Just outside the glass doors, coral stone decking paves the way to a stunning glass-tiled infinity-edge pool. Guests tend to gravitate to this area and its community-focused layout that includes plenty of comfortable seating and dining areas. There are 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms in the Main Villa detailed below:

• One Queen bed, two twin beds
• Private, spacious bathroom/shower

• Two entrances – connects to the deck of the Treehouse

The Main Villa also has a great room called The Celestial Room, which is a large living room, meeting room, and playroom with a fireplace (full of candles), a Smart TV with Netflix, Disney, etc., and tons of comfortable seating to enjoy gazing out onto the ocean and islands scattered in the distance.

The large open kitchen is quite dramatic, open to the courtyard on one side and the beautiful coastline on the other. You’ll find everything you need there, including an icemaker! For additional catering needs, there is a kitchenette behind the great room that includes a sink, refrigerator, microwave, and toaster oven.

The glass tiled swimming pool is 32’ x 18’ with an infinity edge and it is a saltwater pool. There is also a 10ft x 5ft ledge that is only 18 inches deep for lounging or use as a dance floor. (Yes… it happens.) There are plenty of pool floats and comfy outdoor seating around a firepit. The steps that lead down from the pool lead to a large yoga deck that is suspended over the oceanfront jungle. We keep yoga mats, blocks, straps, and bolsters on-site for our guest's use in a storage room adjacent to the deck. Just off the yoga deck is a stairway down to the Vision.

-The Vision-

The Vision is a unique 3 bedroom, 5 bathroom cliffside villa with a large community room and wraparound balconies. Watching the ocean meet the rocks below or laying in the orbit chairs staring at the stars, the views from this vantage point are unparalleled.

Upper Level:

A large, glass family room surrounded by open-air balconies overlooking the ocean on three sides, the Vision includes a white baby grand piano, seating for plenty, an 18th-century daybed for lounging, and a large plasma screen 'Smart' TV. Comfy mattresses and pillows are available to be scattered around the indoor space if that sounds fun for you. There are 1 1/2 bathrooms on this level. The shower gives you full views of the ocean and Mandahl Point. The sunset terrace, an outdoor seating area on the corner of the world, is the perfect spot to relax while being surrounded by nature's beauty.

The kitchen next to the Sunset Terrace includes a refrigerator, microwave, toaster, gas stove, oven, kettle, and coffee pot. There is indoor seating for six as well as outdoor seating for 6 on the edge of the world.

Lower Level:
Rise and Shine Sunrise Deck: The lower deck provides another wrap around ring of balconies, even lower on the cliff, and features a stunning sunrise seating terrace.

The Ostrich Room:

• Oceanfront corner room with surrounding decks
• King bed and one twin or three twins with comfy sheets
• Private bathroom/shower overlooking the ocean
• AC, ceiling fans, and tower fans


The Lamb Room:

• Oceanfront room
• Two twin beds with comfy sheets

The Moo Room:

• Corner room with the ocean on two sides
• Queen bed with comfy sheets
• Private bathroom/shower looks out over the ocean
• Small private deck and stairway that leads to the upper-level kitchen
• AC, ceiling fans, and tower fans

With the constant breeze coming off the ocean and the sound of the waves crashing along the shoreline the AC’s are seldom needed.
All bedrooms are supplied with really soft linens, bath towels as well as beach towels.

-The Treehouse

The Treehouse is one large studio apartment that sits to the right of the driveway and overlooks the ocean. There is a small kitchenette with a refrigerator, sink, and microwave. For sleeping, there is a queen bed, two twin beds, and a twin daybed. There is also a table and chairs. And AC, ceiling fans, and tower fans. The Treehouse has a large semi-outdoor bathroom and magical shower with complete views of the ocean over swaying palms. The balcony surrounding the treehouse boasts hammock chairs and is connected to the Main Villa via The Branch. There is also a sweet oceanfront deck with outdoor burners for cooking and seating for outdoor dining. x

We can shift the beds together to accommodate 8 couples in queen beds. Please make this request in advance if desired.

Spirit on the Water will surpass your expectations. Our cleaning staff is on the property three times per week to renew towels and tidy up common areas. If you desire more frequent cleaning, this can be arranged based on availability. We have an on-site property manager to assist with any property related problems that might arise. He is visible when you need him and invisible when you don’t. If you have any business needs such as printing or having documents mailed out, we would be happy to help. Pre-arrival and concierge services are available upon request for an additional fee.

In regards to transportation, we are happy to recommend a taxi service that we work with frequently. If you decide to rent a vehicle, we recommend a jeep or vehicle with a higher suspension as the roads on St. Thomas can sometimes be tricky.

Due to the fact that the electricity goes out on the island on a regular basis, we have an automatic generator to ensure you’ll never lose electricity. We also have a state-of-the-art water filtration system that revitalizes our collected rainwater for use. We also have high-speed wireless Internet throughout the villa.

Our property manager lives on site and is available anytime to help with any questions, directions, or recommendations you may need! There are two cats that live on the property.
