'The Italian Job' movie has been shooted on the canal downstairs here. Very luminous and airy. The elegance of the venitian mosaic floor, the Murano glass chandeliers, the antique furniture and fabrics is joined with the modernity and functionality of the kitchen and bathrooms. The apartment was restored while the building was left in its original state. The front door opens into a grand entrance that is surrounded by four bedrooms (one master, one double and one queen with an attached studio and sofa bed), living room, kitchen and two bathrooms, one with a bathtub and one with a shower. From the balconies, you can enjoy the view of the gondolas gliding by. Air conditioned, timed with magnetic card to be paid separately, based on usage. Third level, 6 flights of stairs. No elevator!!

a beautiful apartment in a great area!

Luca was a great host. Easy to connect with and very responsive. Luca even organised is niece to meet us at the train station to guide us to the apartment which was a short walk from the station and water bus stops. The apartment is well appointed with everything you need and in a great location. This is a big apartment by Italian standards. Very comfortable for a family with lots of room. Also, far enough from the busy tourist spots but only a short walk when you are ready to tackle the crowds. The local area offers great restaurants and bars...and there’s a local supermarket downstairs. Very convenient. Living on the canal during our stay only added to the experience we wanted...to live like locals. I highly recommend this beautiful apartment. Thank you Luca!

Great Property for Venetian Holiday

Luxurious apartment in great location

The apartment was every bit as elegant as the photos show. We came to Venice to get married and stayed in the apartment with 3 other friends (5 in total). It was a perfect choice for us. the apartment is very spacious, well appointed and luxurious, perfect for our wedding week. Luca met us at the train station, he was so friendly, kind and helped settle us in. He has excellent English and communicated very promptly regarding all the arrangements. The location is close to the train station in a residential area, so not so busy, but lovely cafes and small restaurants close by. Also it was close to all the water transport and water taxi can pull up right outside. We highly recommend this apartment to those wanting to add something special to their visit to Venice. Thanks Luca for your care and friendliness.

Great Location in Venice

My family of two adults and three teenage children stayed in this wonderful apartment. Cleanliness, plenty of space and location to all Venice has to offer were the most impressive features of this apartment. Luca greeted us at the train station and was extremely helpful and gave us the tips we needed to get around, eat and see the best parts of Venice. The view over the canal was very special with singing gondolas passing by - it was an experience we will not forget. We would highly recommend this apartment for fellow travellers.

Great place to stay with your family

The apartment was perfect for my family. Everyone had their own space, plus there was common space. The location is perfect, with easy access to transportation and a grocery store downstairs. Great communication and advice from our host.

Plenty of Room

My family of four spent three nights in Venice and this apartment was perfect. It had a lot of room to move around, close to the train station and all the amenities of home. Two bedrooms are off the main street so it can be noisy and one bedroom is off the street and super quiet. Great place!

Authentic Cool❄️ Stay!

From booking to leaving the apartment, the whole experience was just great! Very spacious, well equipped unit. The soft towels were very much appreciated. It’s was 95-100F day and night during our stay, so AC in each bedroom and in a living room worked perfectly. Keeping us cool after a hike upstairs. Thank you Luca, we will be back🌸😊😍

great location

wonderful stay although it was very hot! Fortunately there is A/C which is very necessary! pack as light as possible because walk from train up stairs is taxing. Luca was very accommodating with our late arrival!

Lovely Apartment and Location!

Luca was such a gracious host and his family home was perfect for our visit to Venice. We especially loved that there was plenty of space for our teens and two bathrooms. The location was perfect for us- outside of the craziness of St. Mark's square and next to a beautiful canal. It was super convenient to have the grocery store immediately below the flat. We also loved the proximity to Dorsoduro and Santa Croce neighborhoods, which provided beautiful and peaceful morning and evening walks.

Very Pleased in Venice

We had a great trip. We should have stayed longer. The Pia Domus location was perfect. Very close to the train station which made transfer to our apartment very easy. Also close to Grand Canal for vaporetto access. And finally … the owner was very responsive, accommodating and helpful. Just what we needed to fill some of the many gaps in our knowledge about staying in Venice.

Great apartment in Venice

We liked the apartment and the size of it. Luca is a great host, he met us at the train station, gave us a detailed explanation of the apartment and he helped us with recommendations about the city. We liked the location and ability to walk everywhere. Having a supermarket just downstairs was very convenient. The only missing thing in the apartment is a dishwasher but we did not cook any meals at home so we did not mind it too much. We recommend this apartment to families and groups that need more space.

Dream Trip with a Magical Location

We had the most amazing experience visiting Venice and this was our home base. We are thrilled to have been invited into this charming home with authentic flooring, decor, and personal touches that were warm and inviting. The modern amenities were also much appreciated. The views from the apartment, especially from the balcony, were stunning and the location was amazing. The hosts were gracious, respectful, communicative, helpful, and inspiring. We stayed 10 days in Venice, each step offered a stunning museum quality of beauty. We are thoroughly grateful to have had the opportunity to stay here. Luca and Benedetta gave us information that catapulted our experience to the next level. The apartment had tremendous accessibility to travel by means of foot, boat, and train. Restaurants, shopping, sight seeing, festivals/events, and the most magical scenery began right outside our stay in this apartment. We also thoroughly enjoyed the supermarket below for stocking up along the way. To compliment the friendly, passionate and inviting residents of this location, we felt safe and welcomed here. We would love to return.

Sehr schöne stilvolle Wohnung in bester Lage zum Bahnhof und Zentrum. Freundlicher Gastgeber.

Alles war perfekt! Trotz gemischtem Wetter und „Aqua alta“ am Markusplatz konnten wir die gewünschten Ziele zu Fuß erreichen. Angenehm: Supermarkt und Pizzeria im Haus. Weiter zu empfehlen!

Fabulous experience

The apartment was stunning and perfect for my family (6 of us ) who were attending a wedding in Venice. The location is perfect, with many cute little neighborhoods in the back and just a 25 min walk to San Marco. There is a supermarket on the first floor that made shopping very convenient. Luca was an absolutely fabulous host and very helpful with recommendations of restaurants and hair salons too! We did not want to leave! Also very convenient for catching a water taxi literally right in front of the building! Highly recommend and plan to return.

the location was great, on the canal rio marin, the water taxi dropped us off in front of the apartment and picked us up there. the supermarket was on the ground floor. the apartment had a kitchen 4 bedrooms 2 baths and a living room. the owner luca was very attentive.

We highly recommend this apartment. The view of the canal was stunning! The apartment is so charming and had plenty of space for our family of 6. Location to the train station was so convenient. Remember the apartment is on the 4 th floor with steps only. We would absolutely stay again.

Amazing Host, Very Nice Property

When you're traveling halfway around the world, it's important that you can trust your host. Luca was fantastic. He met us at the bus drop off and walked us to the apartment. He was flexible during check-in and check-out, and was easily reachable. 10/10 host. The property met our needs well. It sits right on a canal has great views from the front balcony. There were several good restaurants and a grocery market nearby. It's also very close to the train station. The apartment was well stocked. The property was large and easily fit our family of five. The AC was a little complicated to use and you had to be aware of your power/hot water usage (which is pretty standard in many EU rentals). Expect to do a lot of walking. The property is a decent walk to the Rialto Bridge, city center, and Piazza San Marco. It's manageable but something you should know. I would recommend the property based on the size/comfort and the host.

Very Special Visit to Venice

This was the perfect place to stay! Right in the heart of Venice! We loved the canal view. There’s a small balcony where 2 or 3 can stand to watch the action below, with a glass of wine or morning coffee. The owner was super nice and helpful! The place is very clean and adorable!

The ideal Venice rental!!

Spent a week with my husband and two adult 20-something children in Luca’s gorgeous apartment!! It is even lovelier than the listing makes it seem. Comfortable and well-kitted out with everything we needed. And the view of the Rio Marin canal was the icing on the cake! We spent hours over the course of the week watching life along the canal. Communication with Luca was the best I’ve ever experienced in two decades or renting properties. And his niece Benedetta gave us a great welcome and helped us settle in in his place when he had to be away on the day of our arrival. We hope to visit again!! Thank you Luca!!!
