'The Italian Job' movie has been shooted on the canal downstairs here. Very luminous and airy. The elegance of the venitian mosaic floor, the Murano glass chandeliers, the antique furniture and fabrics is joined with the modernity and functionality of the kitchen and bathrooms. The apartment was restored while the building was left in its original state. The front door opens into a grand entrance that is surrounded by four bedrooms (one master, one double and one queen with an attached studio and sofa bed), living room, kitchen and two bathrooms, one with a bathtub and one with a shower. From the balconies, you can enjoy the view of the gondolas gliding by. Air conditioned, timed with magnetic card to be paid separately, based on usage. Third level, 6 flights of stairs. No elevator!!

Excellent stay in an ideal location. Beautiful property with extensive family history. Lovely canal views from the master bedroom. Cold A/C! The floors are exquisite. Clear communication throughout the whole process from owner. Be aware that if you cannot deal with stairs & bags than this place is NOT for you. Highly recommended.

Plenty of Room

My family of four spent three nights in Venice and this apartment was perfect. It had a lot of room to move around, close to the train station and all the amenities of home. Two bedrooms are off the main street so it can be noisy and one bedroom is off the street and super quiet. Great place!

Family stay in venice

Clean apartment in a more quiet but still central location in Venice. Very large and comfortable unit. Proximity to restaurants and grocery store allows you to make the most of your time in Venice.

Great apartment in Venice

We liked the apartment and the size of it. Luca is a great host, he met us at the train station, gave us a detailed explanation of the apartment and he helped us with recommendations about the city. We liked the location and ability to walk everywhere. Having a supermarket just downstairs was very convenient. The only missing thing in the apartment is a dishwasher but we did not cook any meals at home so we did not mind it too much. We recommend this apartment to families and groups that need more space.

Fabulous!

Lucca's family home is ideally situated in Venezia, and Lucca is a wonderful, warm and generous host. He and his niece Bernadetta met us at the station and brought us directly to their lovely home. We spent several days exploring the city, and returning to share meals around the big wooden dining table. Lucca made himself available for our every question, and had lovely recommendations for our visit. We highly recommend this rental, and we hope to return one day soon.

Good location.

The com was good with the owner and the apartment was clean and in a good area. However as it is close to a supermarket and on the canal it was v noisy at night and first thing in the morning (7am). On check out we explained to the owner that we had accidentally broken a side light which we then paid to replace . Unfortunately the owner then accused us of breaking a couple of glasses and a bowl in the apartment. This has left us very disappointed and we wouldn’t return to the property.

Fabulous apartment for a family

The host, Luca, was a delight and met us at the canal, right outside the building. His description is very accurate - it really is 6 flights of stairs up to the 3rd story - so please be aware of that. But the location is fantastic! We don't like being in the most touristy section when we travel and this apartment is located in an actual neighborhood. The local supermarket and bars are used by actual locals. It is Venice so, by nature, very touristy but you could actually sleep with the window open with only the occasional "street" (canal) noise. During our stay, we would leave all day, walk to our destination then return for a quick change before dinner at any of the many nearby restaurants. Each day, we saw hundreds of tourists lugging their luggage through the island and felt so fortunate to have found this apartment. We literally pulled up from our water tax, disembarked and carried our luggage up the stairs, only like 10 feet away. We didn't realize what a luxury that was until we saw other people wheeling their luggage through the streets, up and down over canals and over cobblestone. Suddenly, the 6 flights of stairs didn't seem so bad! The kitchen was well equipped for our needs and there was plenty of hot water - even for our 3 teenage/young adult daughters. If we ever go to Venice again, Lucas' apartment will be the first place I try to stay. :)

Luca was an amazing host. His detailed communications made our arrival to Venice stress-free … he even went out of his way to meet and greet us at the station. The property was as advertised … clean, close to the Venezia Santa Lucia Station, with many restaurants and attractions near by. The property had everything we needed which comfortably accommodated our family of five adults … we had no issues during our stay. Luca even gave us an overview of Venice, with food recommendations and travel tips. Definitely would recommend this property.

Lovely time with my kids

Single mom traveling with kids, this place was perfect! Lovely and responsive host. Great central location. We took a water taxi from the airport and docked right at the property. A truly unique and magical start to the trip. Beautiful view and everyone got their own rooms! Right upstairs from a market, super convenient. We got to watch the July fireworks from the balcony! Just a wonderful place and stay!

I’d give 10 stars if I could.The apartment was clean, roomy and very comfortable. There were 5 of us so having 3 bedrooms and two bathrooms plus a large sitting room was perfect. Having A/C during a July visit was a godsend. Plus being upstairs from a grocery and so close to the train station and Vaporetto stop couldn’t have been in a better location. Also was able to book a water taxi that dropped off and picked up right out front! Hosts were so kind and helpful. Extremely good English speakers which we’re so thankful since our Italian skills are terrible. Building is safe and secure. Only thing to be cautious of are the 3 flights of stairs. You’ll need good knees!Would highly recommend and hope to return!

The Best Host Ever

Luca is the best host we have ever experienced. He prepped us on everything from where to eat to how everything functioned in the apartment. He wrote a manual that should be a primer for every host. We never needed to reach out during our stay. Yet he was available by phone/text at all times. He was so thoughtful that it made the experience hassle-free.

Great place to stay with your family

The apartment was perfect for my family. Everyone had their own space, plus there was common space. The location is perfect, with easy access to transportation and a grocery store downstairs. Great communication and advice from our host.

Authentic Cool❄️ Stay!

From booking to leaving the apartment, the whole experience was just great! Very spacious, well equipped unit. The soft towels were very much appreciated. It’s was 95-100F day and night during our stay, so AC in each bedroom and in a living room worked perfectly. Keeping us cool after a hike upstairs. Thank you Luca, we will be back🌸😊😍
