Spectacular view from this house

We love the expansive view from this house. It is a very comfortable home for us, and there is much to do in and around Stonington.

Perfect view

Gorgeous house with breathtaking scenery from the deck. Very clean and comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking anything you'd want. TV and internet connection are excellent. The setting is quiet and relaxing, though the sounds of the harbor do come through in the morning, however I think this adds to the experience. It is a ten minute walk to town. Parking is easy and abundant in the large driveway. Though the view is spectacular, there is no direct water access. Parts of the house are a little dated, but not in a way that takes away from the experience significantly.

Great rental for large family, summer reunion . Spectacular harbor view and Deer Isle Thoroughfare in the distance.

For a family requiring both togtherness and privacy, this house is ideal. The octagonal design allows large amounts of communal space, but also distance between the fun and the quiet of large private bedrooms. The shape means no long hallways and no sense of being "at the back of the house" The shape also allows a spectculr deck plan, with plenty of personal space for seperate sunning, reading, eating of gazing. The main room opens to this deck and makes the inside equally pleasing with the same wonderful harbor views . The view of lobster boats based at the STONINGTON COOP is authentic Maine. The wood burning fireplace is a real plus and carefully designed for safety. We had multiple days of heavy fog and rain and we used the fireplace many mornings and nights. Plenty of firewood is available. So if it's someone reading in a cozy corner, a card game going on, or fire gazing, the main room is great for summer reunions and hoards of grandkids. Kitchen amenities are over the top and make the cooking arrangements back home more than historic relics. However, the convention stove top takes almost the whole stay to figure out. We all loved the way Ocean Blvd worked for our comings and goings. Definitely not a Maine design however.

Great house!

We've just finished our fourth summer stay in Ocean Boulevard and hope to return again next summer. It is a great house--light, airy, and very relaxing, with great views from the deck and through the living and dining area windows. It is well-equipped and comfortable and within walking distance to Stonington and its restaurants and great little ice cream place.

Ocean Boulevard

Terrific house! Well maintained. Kitchen extremely well equipped. Great deck overlooking the harbor - perfect for dining or sunning. Right above the harbor with an unbeatable view of everything going on - lobstermen coming and going, schooners passing through. Lobster cooperative right below - walk down and chose your lobster that is really right off the boat. About a mile walk into "downtown" Stonington, perfect for working up an appetite or working off that pastry you bought at the local coffee shop.

Wonderful View!

This is an open and airy home with a fabulous view of the lobster boats in Stonington Harbor and the offshore islands, and occasionally an absolutely fantastic sunset! It is also well-equipped for a short or longer term stay. My husband and I have rented the house three times now and hope to be back again next summer.
