Situated right on the water at 6101 Sand Point Road in Lac La Belle, Keystone Cottage offers stunning, front-row views of the lake through three large windows, including a full two-pane patio door—perfect for watching the sun and moon rise and set right over the water.

Step out to the dock to cast a line or tie up your own boat. Jump straight into pure Upper Peninsula adventure with fishing, hunting, hiking, or biking—or hop on your 4-wheeler and hit the trails to Bear Bluff, Montreal Falls, and Copper Harbor.

We’re just minutes away from local favorites and historic Keweenaw gems.

Outdoor Hotspots: Kick back at the Mount Bohemia Spa, cruise local ATV and snowmobile trails, sink your toes into the famous white "singing sands" of Bete Grise, or use the separate public boat launch down the road.

Must-See Local Sightseeing: Tour the ancient Delaware Copper Mine, take in epic fall foliage, bird migrations, and Lake Superior views from the Brockway Mountain lookout, wander among massive trees in the Estivant Pines old-growth forest, or step back in time at historic Fort Wilkins State Park with its interactive displays and period-costumed actors.

Charter Fishing: Captain Brian with Sand Point Charters (906-370-2257) launches quietly from the property (mostly early mornings) for an unforgettable day on Lake Superior! Come out for a chat while we clean and filet our catch. A discount is given for our guests.

When you're back at the cabin, whip up hearty home-cooked meals in our fully equipped kitchen—pots, pans, coffee pot, electric range, fridge with freezer, silverware, knives, and baking essentials. If a rainy day rolls in, relax with our cozy collection of books and board games.

Wi-Fi Included: Although nature is the main event, Internet is available throughout the cabin. No TV provided.

Cell Coverage: AT&T works great up here, but Verizon is sketchy. Secure your directions before you exit US 41 for the drive down the hill towards Lac La Belle.

This was the most private place on the lake with a nice dock, access to Lake Superior was a stones throw away.The cabin was cozy and clean with almost every amenity, definitely would consider staying there again, thank you for sharing your place with us.

The house was spotless, quiet, and well-maintained. Everything worked perfectly, and we especially appreciated having laundry facilities on-site. The views of the lake were stunning, with beautiful sunrises and sunsets right from the property.We enjoyed hiking and exploring the area with my college roommate of 45 years, and the location was perfect for outdoor adventures. It was the ideal setting for a relaxing getaway and reconnecting with old friends. Wonderful relaxing private spot. Views from cabin and grounds are spectacular. Brian is a great host and a fantastic fishing captain. One of the best stays we’ve had on the UP.

My personality profile says I'm an Eagle. I'm an entrepreneur, dad of many, grandfather, author of the book, "How to Raise a Happy Family " and charter boat captain. I love to fish and love to see others have a good time fishing. Winters are spent snowboarding with kids and cross-country skiing. My wife and I have now retired from the printing business and are turning into snowbirds (leaving for the winter.).

Why they chose this property

My family and my wife’s family has had property on Sand Point Road nearly all our lives, so we spent ALL our growing up summers here. I had my sights on this property long before it came up for sale in 2013 in order to base my charter business from here. It’s one of the nicest properties on beautiful Lac La Belle with deep water close to shore.

What makes this property unique

The perfect place to unwind: No TV. A grand view of the lake where you see wildlife: eagles, deer, occasional bear, sparkling water, boats and BOTH the sunrise and sunset. The full moon is spectacular.
