St. Maarten is a fast-growing island, and Indigo Bay is currently undergoing neighborhood development, including the construction of The Setai — a world-class luxury hotel coming to the area. Construction takes place during standard working hours: Monday–Friday (7AM - 5:30PM) and Saturday (8AM - 4:00PM). Unfortunately, this is beyond our control. We want you to have full transparency so you can plan accordingly and make the most of your stay!

Our stay was wonderful with one caveat. The complex is under construction and the noise of heavy machinery started by 6:30am Monday to Thursday as Friday was a holiday. It does appear that the construction will be ongoing for quite some time, so future guests should be aware.

As mentioned in our listing, the community is currently undergoing development, which may include construction sounds during standard working hours. (Though we want to clarify that louder machinery is not permitted to begin as early as 6:30AM.) One project underway is The Setai hotel, a world-class luxury property that aims to further elevate the area.
