Rich wood and wicker furniture. Clean well-equiped galley kitchen. Giant original cast iron alcove bathtub. Four blocks to rugged beach trail or 10 minutes' paved walk to historic Nye Beach. Quiet neighborhood with mix of full time residences and vacation homes. Concentrate or detach--its up to you. The apartment is one of two in a side by side duplex. The style is called an embankment ranch. It has an ocean view over housetops. It is two blocks back from the cliff. Several steps are required to access the apartment. There is a laundromat about 3-4 blocks from the apartment. The neighborhood has families, couples, singles, and a few other vacation rentals and is made up of mostly single family homes.

The apartment has been largely updated, but retains its 1965 charm. It's been decorated in a way we hope you will enjoy with a mix of new, vintage and antique furniture. There is also a mix of art, with some original works, signed prints and interesting historical objects that pertain to this area.

The two queen size beds are comfortable. There is a dedicated work area. The galley kitchen is small but clean and well-equiped. It's ideal for a single cook who can use the space efficiently. The appliances date from 2019. The bathroom has its original, big, enameled iron tub. The toilet is new as of 2024. There is good water pressure in the shower.

The TV is Roku and is moderate size and found in the living room.

There is a deck with an ocean and sky view built in 2023 for guests.

For stays over 7 days, linen exchange is available. For stays of 28 days or longer, access to a washer and dryer can be arranged.

We live next door so are easily available if needed, but we don't mind if you prefer to enjoy your own company!
