Beautiful, clean and well stocked location. Quiet and private-perfect to relax. Property is safe and spacious. Good communication with Host to make our stay very comfortable.
We were visiting the area for a celebration of life and our extended family stayed at generations cabin. It was great to be able to be together and enjoy the pool, hot tub, and large yard.
Perfect set up,we were able to fit My Wife🌹💞 and I three of my kids and their spouses and six grandchildren with no problem. Great setting with the pool and hot tub. Very peaceful setting and Jesse was very prompt with any questions we had.
Owner went above and beyond for us to have this experience/weekend. Great, fast communication, beautiful property, and perfect spot for a large group. They had all the necessities and overall was a great weekend! Would love to make this a yearly trip here again, fantastic experience and peaceful neighborhood. Highly recommend!
Beautiful, open property with an amazing cabin! Plenty of room inside and out to give everyone space. Cabin was super clean and well appointed. Beautiful, quiet and private location. Exactly as listed.
The pool and hot tub were enjoyed by most of our family, especially the 5 grandkids. We also had fun playing baseball, badminton, and the kids played soccer. The owner was quickly responsive to any questions I had.
Plenty of room. Nicely appointed kitchen. Rustic Log Cabin. Only one complaint - the picture shows a play set - there is not one.

Nancy- so glad you and your family enjoyed your stay. Sorry about the play set- that picture is for the pool and if you read the caption it says there is no playset. We had it removed in 2020. Hope you come back again. We would love to host you again!
Great home for all the family to hang out together. Definitely utilized the back porch area. Owner very responsive in regards to questions or issues we had. Well stocked kitchen. Very pleasing decor. Overall a very nice home.

The perfect place to celebrate our parents 70th Anniversay!
Four generations together! My parents were able to relax and enjoy their family, the cabin and the surroundings. The out-of-towners stayed at the cabin and the locals joined us for evening dinners and weekend afternoons.
The owner was very responsive before our stay by email and during our stay our texts were answered immediately.
We would definitely recommend this lovely, relaxing, well-appointed home.
We enjoyed our time at this property. The owner was extremely responsive and easy to connect with for any questions/concerns. The whole extended family enjoyed using the pool and hot tub, and when it rained (a lot during our visit, sadly) we had fun inside playing cards and board games. While the location is a bit removed from everything we liked it that way because the goal for us was to spend time together. Recommended.
We were a small group of church workers that have an annual conference/retreat. This year there were 11 of us. The sleeping areas were just right. The kitchen was well equipped for our meal preparation. The sitting areas upstairs and downstairs worked well for our small group discussions.
The Generations Cabin in Hartville is a great location to have a little break time to explore and to go to dinner 'out'.
The family (8 adults and 9 kids) had a great week. With the bedrooms and bathrooms spread out over all 3 floors it worked out well. The kids had a fabulous time in the pool - the weather was great for their first pool experience of the summer (sunny and in the 80's every day). We spent a lot of time enjoying the large yard - we set up a 9 hole frisbee golf course - and a large obstacle course and engaged in a ten-event family olympics during the week. We also enjoyed the beautiful rose bushes and the peonies blossomed while we were there.
There is a broken door frame on the upstairs bedroom.
The next door neighbor was very polite when he came over to inquire about cutting the grass.
The oven door handle grill cover handle were very loose.

Great Multi-Family Get-a-Way
The house was great, very clean, lots pf extra linens, blankets and pillows. Owner provided a lot of initial information which was appreciated however he wasn't very helpful after that. When asked for recommendations on a good local pizza place he responded with "try Google". The power went out while we were there due to high winds and there were no flashlights or battery powered lights. Luckily it came back on after about an hour. Overall we had a great time and it was a very nice property.

So sorry about the high winds. We contacted Ohio edislm
The property was just right for our girls group, everyone had their own sleeping “space”, kitchen and bathrooms were well-stocked with everything we needed. Front and screened in porches were the highlight in the evening. Pool and hot tub were clean.
Make sure if you rent this spot, read the contract well before signing. There are many many fees and fines for everything from noise disturbance, provoking or feeding the horses next door, even leaving clean dishes in the dishwasher upon departure.
The neighbors don’t abide by quiet hours, either; I’m familiar with the area but was still surprised to hear daytime gun shots, dirt bikes out past 10pm, and inappropriate mid afternoon finale fireworks :/

Brittany. THank you so much for being a great guest. Just to be clear... no fines were collected :-) Really these are in place for a very simple message. Treat our beautiful home as your own! We have rarely ever collected any fines. We just want folks to be respectful and enjoy their time here with friends and family! I am sorry about the neighbors a few doors down, they had a major birthday event during your stay. Have a blessed rest of your summer!
The neighbor wasn’t the best. Came over because someone locked their car at night after getting a blanket from their car. He came over and pounded on the door. He also complained about our music being too loud at 5:00 PM. We didn’t even have it that loud. We were in the back and you couldn’t even hear it from the from yard. He was very rude. But other than that it was a wonderful stay! They fixed the hot tub when it needed to be. Had extra blankets and everything we needed!

Kayla. Sorry about the neighbor interaction. They are great people and have never been concerned with guests due to the large lots and the line of pine trees and garage between the Generations cabin and their home. I agree it was the middle of the day and you were celebrating your 30th birthday! The disconnect happened when they asked if I could contact you as they had a very late night the day before and were attempting to catch up on sleep. I did not get their message for two hours, then when I contacted you via text assuming you got the message and you were in the pool. So when I told the neighbor it was taken care of it was not.... so I am sorry for the miscommunication on this one. I am glad you were able to enjoy your stay and extend your checkout on Sunday. Would welcome you back!!!!
The house was OK, but the beds on the first floor were the old style that sunk in the middle. If you turn the AC on the main floor is 74, but the basement floor with two bedrooms is 67 degree. Put the people that to sleep in the cold in the basement. Last the pool, which was the main reason I rented this place. Only to find out it was poorly maintained and was absent of chemicals to make it safe. Had four of my family members complain of irritated skin and rashes with shaffingchafing the first day we went swimming. By the second day, some of us got worse and we were googling our symptoms to see what was going on. That lead us to the pool. We tested the pool water and from the photo of the test trip, you can see it read a ph of 6, but that was as low as the test trip can read, which is very acidic. Should be 7.2 to 7.6. This test was taken after adding to cups of Baking Soda and 4 inches of water to dilute the acidity. We were told to go ahead in swim in it, we would be fine. It was not. If you rent this property check the pool water before you get in.

Folks. My family and I have been renting out short term rentals now for
12 years. These are large
Properties that sleep 20 guests and we
Do about 200 rentals a year to amazing guests that want to make great
Memories with their friends and family.
Do the math that is about 4000 guests a year… or about 2000 rentals in the last decade. 99% of our guests are amazing people that love our properties and leave 5 star reviews (over 250 on this site alone). Unfortunately some guests you cannot please. With that said we do appreciate
Feedback. We have an amazing team that services the property. A husband and wife
Team have owned a pool And hot tub service company for over a decade. They are on site twice a week and we have never had a complaint with either the pool or hot tub. They know what they are doing! Our bedding is new
Each year and again many guests ask where we get our mattresses as they find them to be very comfortable. Our HVAC system is modern and was replaced in June 2025 so it is brand new. The system thermostat is on the first floor if you leave the slider open…. It will read warmer
Then it is and will keep running. This will cause first floor to stay warmer then set, while still pumping cool Air through the central A/c system. The solution- keep the doors and windows shut on the first floor and the home will be cool and comfortable! If your have any further questions please read over the years of great feedback or contact me directly. Thank you!
We had a great time having a weekend getaway at this house. Hot tub was great, and everything was very clean and cozy.
