Guest Access:

The Neighborhood:
Mission Beach is San Diego’s vibrant version of a classic boardwalk beach town, featuring nearly two miles of oceanfront boardwalk, plenty of rental shops, and Belmont Park, a historic seaside amusement park. With Mission Beach on one side and Mission Bay on the other, you’ll be just steps away from the water in either direction.
This relaxed beach community is filled with casual local restaurants, cafés, and shops that give it a laid-back coastal vibe. You’re within easy walking distance of everything Mission Beach has to offer, or just a short drive to downtown San Diego and nearby attractions.
Getting Around:
Street parking is available in the surrounding area, typically with 15-minute to 2-hour limits depending on signage. There is also a large parking lot about a 2–3 minute walk away that offers longer-term parking options.
Public transportation is very accessible, with a bus stop less than a block away, and rideshares like Lyft, Uber, and taxis are easy to use at any time. The area is also very walkable, with scenic boardwalks along the beach and bay where you can walk, run, skate, or bike while getting around.
Other Things to Note:
We also offer optional add-ons to make your stay more flexible and convenient:
• Early check-in - $50 per hour
• Late check-out - $50 per hour
• Non-refundable pet fee - $100
Please note: our unit is located on a lively, busy street across from popular restaurants. If you enjoy being in the heart of the action with everything within walking distance, including being just a block from both the beach and the bay, this location is hard to beat. However, if you’re looking for a quiet, secluded getaway far from activity, this may not be the ideal fit.

Great location 1block to the beach. Lots of bar/restaurant options within a short walk. Property manager was super friendly, helpful, and responsive to our questions.
Very clean and cozy place. The location was so excellent with evsrything in walking distance. This area of the beach was much less congested than a little furher south. Just an overall excellent stay. Thanks for having us.
The place is quaint and in a good location for an adult couple looking to enjoy downtown Mission Beach. House was well stocked, clean and as expected. Owner was nice and close should we need anything.

It was a beautiful clean loft, great location. The only problems we had was checking in. The host was not Erika as it stated on the app, it was now a Chris. I was calling the wrong person & it a while to get us our key code. Also parking was a nightmare the first night, but we finally figured it out.I recommend not moving car once you find parking. Other than that my family really enjoyed our stay.
The property was great, clean and easy to find everything. Loved the location and it was nice that there wasn’t much we had to move up high with having our 1 year old which made our stay less stressful. Thank you!
Cute little place, clean, perfect location between the bay and the board walk, great ac. Only downfall is you don’t get a parking space. We went on a busy weekend and had to park so far away and move the car multiple times until the weekend crowd cleared out.
The property is very conveniently located in Mission Beach, and literally a 2 min walk to the Bay and a 4 min walk to the beach. Lots of restaurants nearby, and right by a couple coffee shops. Like most beach homes, it is older and does not have air conditioning, so it was a little warm in the afternoons in July, but overall a fantastic place to stay!
Nice little place for my two kids and I. Great location, easy walk to the bay or beach. Well stocked with everything you need. Cool little coffee cart below, near restaurants and mini mart. Scored free overnight parking near the aquatics center so didn’t have to move the car all week. Tried to book for next year but it was already taken.
I love it when a listing is honest and accurate. We knew where we were staying, what the area was like and what our accommodations would be. Property was clean, neat, very well stocked with home needs, and everything worked. Communication with owner was above average. I would highly recommend. We are considering another stay here.
The property manager was kind and amazing. The home is well appointed, beautiful and plenty of space. Clean. Walking to fun bars and beach and bay. Parking a total nightmare with 2 hour parking restrictions in the majority of surrounding area! Waited hours (granted it was Labor Day weekend) to get an overnight spot at aquatic center so as not to have to move car every two hours next day. Loved stay… except parking!
We were pretty excited to stay in this property because of its proximity to Mission Beach. We weren’t let down. This property sits on top of a dive shop so you are close to all of the action. But even though you are in the thick of the fun and excitement, it was quiet enough to sit and unwind. The furniture was new and very comfortable. The kitchen had all of the amenities one would need while staying away. The vibe in the home was relaxing and peaceful. When needing to contact the owner of the property, they replied quickly and with kindness. You’ll love the shops and places to eat in this area.

Lovely location and space, but DIRTY
While the property is spacious and well located, it wasn't clean. The toilet hadn't been cleaned properly and there was urine on the inside of the lid, bath was grimy with loose hairs in it, surfaces were dusty and didn't appear wiped down, water damage to the patio door, curtains were dirty, a cheerio in the pull-out bed, a spill down the front of the kitchen bar, fridge was dirty and dusty, walls were very marked up, and there was general grime surrounding faucets. We bought our own cleaning products as there wasn't an all purpose spray. There were also several missing/damaged amenities. There was only one broken patio chair as pictured, there was a fold up chair instead. There is no functioning bathroom fan, a broom but no dust pan and a hand vacuum with no charger when the host may impose a sand fee. There are two partially broken irons and no ironing board, no body soap but a weird collection of USED bar soap and used toiletries left behind below the sink. The tub drain was broken, the bathtub was nonfunctional. One of the fire extinguishers was in need of replacement. If these hosts are cleaning the property themselves, they should hire cleaners. If they are using cleaners, they should find new ones. With a $150 cleaning fee, and a high cost per night, we were upset by the condition. I contacted the host to request a refund on the cleaning fee but have received no response. I hope the hosts are able to amend the problems found during our stay as the space is lovely.

I stayed here with my husband and daughter. To say that we were disappointed in this property is an understatement. This property is a health hazard.
First: The carpet in the loft is rotten and moldy. There must have been a leak in the roof at one point, and the carpet was never replaced. At one place, right where I would step out of the bed, the carpet had rotted through and was dark and stained.
Second: It was advertised as sleeping four guests. However, the pull-out couch our daughter was supposed to sleep on was broken and wouldn't open. We called the property manager, who tried to help us open the bed, but to no avail. She was helpful in that she supplied an inflatable mattress the next day. In the meantime, we didn't want to put our daughter on the disgusting carpet, so she stayed in bed with us. We also discovered that there weren't any sheets for the couch bed or mattress, just a couple of old comforters. It felt unsanitary. We were offered a modest refund because of the broken couch bed.
Third: Throughout the house, there were multiple light switches that seemed to have no effect on light or an overhead fan. There was no functioning fan in the bathroom. There were numerous bare wires poking out of wall throughout the apartment and and a frayed and overloaded power strip behind the entertainment center. There were 5 remotes to work the TV/Stereo system but no instructions.
Fourth: The furniture on the balcony was rotted and coming apart. A curtain rod and bathroom towel rod came straight out of the wall. The 3 boogie boards that were left were all broken.
Fifth: The property owner requires guests to pay for additional insurance to stay at this property, but there was already so much damage.
Lastly, the location is noisy. Two bars directly across Mission Boulevard ensured music and loud outdoor seating until 2 AM.
Directly below this 2nd floor property is property is a coffee shop (We loved the coffee and the service) that opens at 6AM with their espresso machine cranking out shots.
Mission Beach itself is beautiful, and this location has a lot of potential, but the photos on the ad are misleading given the condition of the property. It was not the relaxing get-away we were expecting.

Hi Tuli, I'm sorry that this stay wasn't what you were hoping for and I've taken the past couple months to make some significant changes, including letting the previous management team go, getting new patio furniture, a new washer/dryer, repairing the towel rod, addressing the wiring issues, getting a new couch/fold out bed, and the carpet is being replaced. I got a few professional opinions regarding the carpet and all agreed that while the carpet had some wear due to normal foot traffic, there was no mold or leak damage, so to say it's unsanitary is not only extreme but simply not accurate, and can be confirmed by the multiple reviews we've received on different listing platforms since your stay. I agree the 5 remotes are a lot but there is a welcome booklet that outlines how to use the remotes, including the remote that operates the fan and light. Again I apologize that the stay wasn't what you were hoping for, and I believe the actions I've taken reflect how seriously I treat these issues.
