Rustic 1930's Cabin perched on a private 1 acre lot on Hunchback Mountain. Minutes from Mt Hood & all Ski areas, Hiking trails, Fishing, Biking, Golf and Spa. Close to restaurants, pubs, grocery stores & resorts.

Our space is surrounded by trees with a back drop of Hunchback Mountain. A fairly secluded ambiance for some deep relaxation. Enjoy a night lit cozy fire a few steps up behind the cabin and watch the stars on clear nights. If you need a little night life and entertainment you can take a stroll ( or drive) over to the Skyway just minutes away across Hwy 26 to the east, for some great food, drinks and nightly music. You can’t beat their brisket and Mac and cheese.

This cabin was a wonderful find. It is a quiet and cozy place to recharge and still close enough to activities to enjoy. The driveway is no joke, 4WD is a must. The front porch was my favorite place to hang out. The Adirondack chairs were comfortable and has a peaceful view. The stairs to the upstairs bedroom are steep, but the safety rails help a lot. The cabin was decorated perfectly and it felt comfortable and homey.Overall, I highly recommend this location.

40th anniversary

Perfect location for our visit to the Mount Hood area. We had never explored that part of Oregon. We went to Timberline Lodge, Little Crater Lake, Government Camp, and Mount Hood Village. Perfect weekend!

It was a wonderful getaway experience for me and my wife! This is a very cozy cabin with a lot of spaces to make memories with loved ones. From barbequeing, to enjoying your time relaxing in the hot tub, to setting an outoor fireplace, to ringing the meditation bell located on the patio and enjoying the lovely view of the forest with your cup of coffee in the morning. We have not went skiing since there was no snow but we did put a 5 star because it is close to skii resorts and there is a downhill steep from the cabin that is accessible for skiing in the area as well! Absolutley a memorable and wonderful stay! Also, we appreciate Shane's quick responses to our inquiries! Thank you for having us !!

4 Year Anniversary Trip

We enjoyed our stay over the weekend! The house was cozy and had a great heater. The house is located in a very nice quiet area, its also close to everything which was super convenient. The owner of the property was very helpful and willing to answer any questions we had. Definitely make sure your car has AWD or 4WD or at least be prepared. I have a 2WD pickup and we almost couldn't make it up the street due to a little bit of ice/snow. Overall it was an awesome place.

A Great Little Mountain Getaway!

This is a wonderful little cabin in the woods. Right from the beginning it was welcoming and warm. The lights were on for our late afternoon arrival, the heater had the home warm as well. The cabin itself is cute and pleasant to stay in, with a cool deck overlooking the woods below. There are trails leading away from the cabin into a very lush Northwest forest. Lots of fun to explore with the kids. It is close to everything fun up on Mount Hood. We would suggest this cabin to others and very well may book it again in the future!

Excellent cabin for 2. The stairs up to the bedroom are steep like others have said, and the driveway is also very steep. Cabin was clean, but not many towels provided. Grill on the deck worked great, plenty of pots and pans for cooking. Very close to trails and the ranger station! Beautiful area.

Lovely cabin in great Mt Hood location

This was a spacious, clean, well kept cabin, close to hiking trails in Mt Hood area, and just 1 mile from Zig Zag Ranger Station. Bedroom is up steep stairs, but also have pullout couch in living room on first level. We could not get our rented 4 cylinder car (wide tires, though) up the steep gravel driveway, and so had to park in spot below. This required hauling everything up and down a rather steep incline. There's a very nice large deck with views of surrounding woods. The noise from Rte 126 is ever present, which limited our time there. There was a large t.v., and a gas fireplace, and gas grill outdoors. We didn't see directions for any of these and had to talk w/ owner about how to use t.v. They were helpful and patient about this. Many channels required previous subscription. We didn't realized this and didn't know why they didn't work. If you have netflix or amazon, bring your passwords etc. We didn't remember ours! Owners left some area restaurant menus, which is helpful. Would also be helpful to have descriptive list of area resources, like laundry, medical, and where to buy groceries.
