Sooo, there’s quite a bit to cover in this review…firstly, the good: The location was wonderful, we have zero complaints there. The bed was comfortable. And the not-so-good: Trying to access the apartment was a challenge as the door lock was very sticky/tricky. The owner did not respond to our request for help in the app but did eventually by WhatsApp. Nowhere in the listing does it state its 75 steps to access the flat. We are capable of this but for those for whom that would be a challenge, I think that’s important to include. The kitchen only had two very tiny tea cups and two slightly larger without handles, we ended up buying more at a local store and leaving them behind. There was coffee in the flat but no method of brewing coffee, so 75 down and up each morning to bring coffee. Ugh! The bathroom…well, it is basically a shower with a toilet in it and the door is a shower door so minimal privacy and constantly wet floors. There is also no light in the bathroom at all, makes for difficulty during the night. The bed and bedding: There were only two very flat pillows and my request for more went unanswered. There was no top sheet and I feel like the duvet isn’t washed each time, maybe I’m wrong but it didn’t feel right. The bed is also pushed against the wall so one person must climb out the foot of the bed and gets no bedside table. The living room has a pleather couch that sheds its coating all over everything. All in all, we were satisfied with the flat.

Check-in was quick, and instructions clear thanks to prompt communication with the owner.The apartment is very well located in Le Marais with pharmacies, grocery and corner stores close by and a M11 route Metro station close by as well. Le Marais has many good restaurants, bars and stores to offer and is lively during the day and night.The apartment has a beautiful view to the inner court of the building from the balcony and to French apartments in the opposite side of the street, specially during sunrise or sunset.I stayed on my own but the bed is big enough to fit 2 people and the room is very cozy. The apartment is equipped with electric heaters in the living room/kitchen area and in the bedroom and they were more than sufficient to heat the space so that cold wasn't a concern (I stayed in November).
