The unit itself has a lot going for it. The layout is well done and made good use of the space. Just be aware that it’s on the second floor, and the winding staircase is more “character-building” than luggage-friendly.The bathroom was probably the weakest part of the unit and could use a little attention, but shower worked and water was hot. The most memorable feature, however, wasn’t listed in the amenities. The property offered a complimentary, full-time “botanical aromatherapy” experience that began before breakfast and continued well past bedtime. While we don’t know the exact source (there were other units with tenants), the smell was as dependable as the sunrise. If distinctive “herbal” fragrances are your thing, you’ll feel right at home. If not…well, at least you won’t have to wonder whether your sense of smell is working. Despite that, we enjoyed the stay overall. Eliminate the “mystery” scent and freshen up the bathroom, and this would be an easy 5-star property.

This place should not be rented as is. There are many liabilities that need to be addressed and it is not presented well or maintained well. Entry way door is filthy, mud room filthy, circular staircase to second floor is major liability, difficult to manage, needs non slip surfaces and should not be rented to those who are large, handicapped, with children, or who simply even have luggage. There is no smoking or vaping allowed but you sure can smell it from downstairs. Also the super loud tv or music throughout the whole night (2 in a row) with bass thumping the bedroom is not acceptable. Bath has mold on lighting and fan, black mold and hole in wall by shower, shower is not for large people and the shower tray was not installed correctly. Furniture is worse that you could find at goodwill including the nightmare inducing scary child chair from 50 years ago. I did like the kitchen, the folding table was cool but chairs? Appliances were great and clean there also were cleaning supplies!Honestly, someone from the management needs to do an inspection and make changes needed to be able to make it rentable or they should not be involved with renting it. Simply saying it is an older property is not enough, its on the Main Street of town, loud street noise and AC hasTo be running to attempt to drown the noise, smell and vibrations from traffic, and residents.
