Owner communicates very well. She checked up after we got there to make sure everything was ok. Beautiful location with views of the Sasanoa River with eagles flying by. Very close to Bath. Overall great experience.
Lovely home. Artfully decorated and well equipped. Warm responsive hosts. Great location from which to dip into the riches of mid coastal Maine even in inclement weather. Info provided was most helpful. Wonderful place to meet family or friends. Our multi-generational group all enjoyed the week together in this lovely setting.
Great place to stay. Everything you would need is there.this was our third stay. would highly recommend. when you enter you know they are all about family gatherings.

I am so glad that you had a good time. Our wonderful cleaning team told me that you did a fabulous job in leaving the house ready for them to work their magic. They also want you to come back!!! Happy fall. Judy
Graywoods was a waterfront treasure. We enjoyed the area. The town of Bath is just up the road, nice shops and a few good restaurants. We could not take our eyes off the view! We even saw an eagle the first day we were there. Very comfortable furniture and fully equipped kitchen. The host was very informative. My friends enjoyed the hot tub!We had a wonderful time!!
This amazing water-front house, known as Graywoods, is wonderfully unique with so much character! Our family of 8 enjoyed the book/play area, the hot tub, grill, and wrap-around deck to curl up with a blanket and enjoy nature! Communication was excellent. Also, the house is one of the best well stocked with paper goods, spices, housewares and not to mention the luxury linens and bath towels. Thank you, Judy and team!

Thanks for your kind words and sounds like your Thanksgiving was perfect. It makes me smile to read everything that you like about the house.
Our family feels the same and while our oldest grandchild is 30 - yikes - she and others spent many hours in that little playroom. The porch was just enlarged and our kids gave us the furniture as they knew what they wanted! Glad the house provided a great place for a great Thanksgiving….Hugh and Judy
We enjoyed the fireplace. Friendly neighbors. Loved the views, well-supplied kitchen, porches, and eagle platform. We appreciated the artwork. Close to Dairy Queen! Felt like being in the country even though the town and highway access was closeby.
Graywoods was just as advertised. Spacious, clean with anything you might need for your trip. Outdoor private hot tub was a nice perk & the view is terrific. We had a great time & will stay again, very close to so many spots to visit.
We had a fabulous time at Graywoods. The house is beautiful, spacious and very comfortable. It has a great proximity to everything you need…the river, restaurants, museums, trails for hiking and running and many popular New England towns. The house is well equipped with everything you need. Hosts are very responsive and helpful! I was there with my husband and two pups and we will definitely be back!!

We loved having you and are so glad that it worked out so well with your boat. Most people are not able to stay for two weeks and it makes me happy to think that you had enough time to really get in to the rhythm of Graywoods. Come back….Hugh and Judy
Awesome house and location. Would stay there again if we return for the same thing next year.

Having raised 5 kids through many phases and stages, it is wonderful to hear stories of what happy times other children (of any age) have been able to have at Graywoods. It gives us such pleasure for others to be able to enjoy our house and build memories. PS, their parents also seem to have a good time too!
You will never have to leave the property. Attentive host, breathtaking property, and just the right amount of seclusion. Our family enjoyed every bit of our stay thanks to lovely Judy!

We are sooo glad that everything went so well. Thanks so much for being such good friends to Graywoods. Hugh and Judy
Just a quick 3-night stay for the holiday and a family reunion. It felt like home, not a hotel. Very comfortable, with many personal touches the owning family has throughout the house and property. Bonus: there’s an active bald eagle’s nest right by the house. It was a great stay!
It rained the whole time we were there but the house was amazing. The kitchen is a dream. So quiet and comfortable. best nights sleep jn a long time. morning coffee on the porch and warm fire at night couldnt ask for a better get away. Cant wait to go back!

Perfect guests that took advantage of the weather, company, and everything the house offers. Come back any time!!!
Beautiful property! Very well stocked with everything one could imagine. Fun and interesting decor throughout. Lots of room for indoor visiting or outdoor playing. The beds are very comfy! The views are outstanding!
The owners were super friendly and did the best job of communicating with me of any of my past VRBOs and I have had good ones. The house, grounds and views wowed me, a great get away, yet close to many of the things I love about Maine. I want to come back and bring my kids.

We loved having George and his family and we try very hard to make sure that anybody who stays at Graywoods feels like a much appreciated guest. We only wish we could meet all of the wonderful "friends" who have treasured the house as much as our family does. You never know, maybe some day we will. Judy
About the host
Hosted by Judy and Hugh Tilson
We are a happily retired couple with 4 grown kids and 11 grandchildren. Our professional lives have required travel worldwide and while we continue to travel, Graywoods is our favorite place to be although we do divide our time between Chapel Hill and Maine. We love answering questions from our renters!
Why they chose this property
We chose to buy a family home in this location as it is within walking distance to Bath and has a view that simply does not end. We only started renting the house when our children were not able to use it. This house is too special not to share and when purchased was never intended to be a rental.
What makes this property unique
This is a special place. The dining room table seats fourteen and is the starting point for many wonderful conversations. The house is about being! Outside there are lovely gardens and a walk through the woods to a dock with great boating and swimming - when the tide is right! The city of Bath, Maine is within walking distance and you get to walk right by the Dairy Queen to get there. There are so many wonderful things to do here.
