About this property
Private, Luxurious Home in Downtown - Walk to everything! 3Beds +2bath + Parking
The only fully private home in Downtown Sebastopol walking distance to everything - not a guest house, not an ADU - full privacy and comfort just for your group. With a large designer backyard under a stunning oak tree, a fully stocked chef's kitchen, laundry, parking for 4 cars, 2 full bathrooms and 3 bedrooms, our home can comfortably sleep 6 adults. Just steps from the heart of downtown Sebastopol, this fully renovated, gorgeous cedar-plank home blends elegance + indulgence – perfect for remote workers, families, or anyone craving a private, beautiful sanctuary that feels like it's nestled in nature, while still being 4 minutes from Whole Foods, Bars, Eateries and Coffee Shops.
The Barlow's craft breweries and eateries, boutique shops, cozy cafes, cocktail bar; the Sunday Farmers Market, two grassy parks, Whole Foods, and the Joe Rodota Trail are all within easy walking distance. No car needed for enjoying Sebastopol, but we have plenty of parking for up to 4 mid-size cars onsite, and an EV charger for added convenience (charging is paid).
This home was fully renovated top to bottom and has beautiful, custom finish-work, from cedar-plank siding, to tiger wood hardwood floors, wood framed windows and interior doors. The backyard is an oasis of greenery, with a flagstone patio sitting beautifully under a 200-year old heritage Oak Tree, a Sonoma County treasure. Mature persimmon, lemon, and kaffir lime trees offer greenery in the backyard, along with blueberries, grasses, flowers, and a bubbling fountain with lively chirping birds.
We only use eco-friendly cleaning products, and fragrance-free detergents and soaps on sheets and towels. As health-conscious travelers, we are committed to providing clean products, free of harmful chemicals, fragrances and sulfates. Our real hardwood floors are cleaned with a gentle, toxin-free formula that is safe for kids and pets. We provide EO bath products which are gentle and sulfate-free. All of the mattresses are OEKO-Tex certified green memory foam, and sheets, robes and towels are 100% cotton. We ask that our guests use the provided laundry soap, dish soap and cleaning products, and remove shoes before entering.
Because our home is located in the countryside and is set under a mature tree surrounded by plants and flowers, the backyard is shared with many birds & bees, along with some squirrel friends. Enjoying nature means that leaves will drop on the patio, and birds will leave their droppings as they enjoy the branches of the tree. Please be mindful that while we landscape weekly, you will be living amongst nature when you enjoy the backyard & fire pit area.
Overnight Maximum Occupancy is 6 guests.
Maximum 4 cars parked onsite.
Quiet hours are 10pm - 7am, strictly enforced.

About the host
Hosted by Sera Brockway
I'm a Bay Area native, born in San Francisco and raised in Wine Country. I lived abroad in France and Canada during high school and college, and became a host when I graduated. I'm bilingual in French, and have over 12 years of host experience for properties all over the country. My husband and I bought this home in 2020, and are so excited to now share it with travelers visiting wine country, looking for a peaceful, comfortable, eco-friendly retreat in downtown Sebastopol. As avid travelers ourselves, we wanted to share our home in a way that feels like a home away from home, complete with thoughtful details, plenty of amenities, and free of chemicals and harsh fragrances. We believe in using eco-friendly products, organic cotton sheets and towels, and fragrance free soaps and detergents. If that matters to you, you are in the right place!
Why they chose this property
Our home sits on a small lane in downtown Sebastopol, with easy walkability to everything you might need. With easy access to coffee shops, grocery stores, a walking trail, restaurants, shopping, wine tasting, breweries, ice cream, banks/ATMs, hair salons - you name it, you can walk there! It is also adjacent to Florence Avenue, a highlight for art enthusiasts and a must-see art walk when staying in Sebastopol.
