05/22: New sofas and new ceiling fans.

Birdcage is a 2 bedroom 2 bath gulf-front unique beach house with a wrap-around deck located approximately 6.6 miles west of highway 59 in Gulf Shores. The yellow octagon shaped house is a repeat destination for many guests year after year. The master bedroom has a king bed with an en suite bathroom with standalone shower. The 2nd bedroom has two queen beds with an en suite bathroom with tub/shower combo. The house has a fully equipped kitchen with washer and dryer. Accommodates up to 10 people

*Birdcage has a pretty secluded beach. The lot is a 100 foot lot and the lot beside it is vacant. The house is located on West Beach where there are only houses and no condos.

4 night minimum requirement. | Full payment due 60 days prior to arrival. $150.00 non-refundable pet fee is required on all pet friendly reservations

STAY AND PLAY

This rental comes with our 'Stay and Play Package', which includes complimentary tickets to the best area activities including; golfing, deep sea fishing, dolphin/nature cruise, amusement park, zoo and movie rentals. Each rental comes with our "Stay and Play package." Some restrictions apply.

*The 'Stay and Play Package' begins on the scheduled date of arrival and is not available on day of departure. Services are non-cumulative and non-transferable. All services are subject to change, subject to availability, and weather permissible. The 'Stay and Play Package' does not apply to monthly rentals.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had the best time at this sweet little property! We had a few of the same things as previous reviews, a brief encounter with some ants, some lingering dog hair, splinters from the deck but overall were very happy with our stay. It says pet friendly in the title so we knew as pet owners the hair never really goes away. However there was some on the comforters and pillow shams that matched, but the sheets and fresh pillow cases were spotless! A quick lint roll and we were good to go.. the couch had a bit more but we asked for additional sheets to cover them and had them within the hour!! The deck is in pretty bad shape and is the home’s exterior but for the price and location we just made sure to wear shoes on the deck and we over looked the cosmetic stuff! I messaged about a few ants and got an immediate response but after we killed the couple we saw no more came back! It’s July, a couple ants are no big deal! The AC worked great, the beach access was clean and easy to manage, we were all very comfortable the house was so spacious and each message I sent was responded to quickly and so professionally and kindly! We will for sure be checking this home’s availability for our next trip!

The beach view was excellent. The house was very clean and neat. Although the outside walls around the deck facing the ocean is in much red of repair. There was a roof leak in guest bedroom on last night from heavy rain. But overall no big problems and I probably would stay there again.

Friends Spring Break

It’s a great location. We had trouble trying to watch TV couldn’t find any instructions anywhere, they would have been helpful. The house needs some TLC especially the deck and some rotted siding. But overall we had a good visit.

Decent place

Everything was in working order and as advertised (except the blender but that no big deal). The place could use a little love on the floors and a bit of maintenance on the outside but the view is amazing, and the place is unique

The property management company responded quickly to questions during the rental process. We enjoyed our stay so much, we extended our stay an extra day and they were very helpful and nice!The location of the property is great if you want to be away from the “congestion”. The beach access was wonderful...a short walk through the dunes and you’re there! The fact that we could bring our dog was the deal clincher for us! The description of the property needs to be updated a little. There is no wooden boardwalk to the beach, but the path is clear through the dunes. The pictures of the inside of the property are accurate, and amenities were accurately listed, however the outside pictures are not current. The elements are cruel to the outside of any beach house, and the outside of Birdcage needs some overdue TLC. There is rotten siding and trim, and the stairs on the back side of the deck need to be inspected for safety (first step down is a doozie if you’re carrying items to the beach). Still, we definitely plan on returning to Birdcage again soon because it is a cool house on the beach in a great location that lets us bring our family pet!

The beach being a few feet away was the bwat thing ever, the kids would just build sand castles all day and it was not crowded at all... we will be returning for sure.

Loved it all!
