This house was a great choice for our stay. It's spacious and comfortable, with plenty of room to spread out and hang out together — never felt cramped even with a larger group. The kitchen is especially well-equipped, which made hosting and cooking for everyone easy. The bedrooms and beds were comfortable, so everyone slept well. The pool and hot tub were a great bonus for relaxing after a day out, and being just a 5-minute walk from the beach made it super convenient. Check-in was easy and hassle-free from start to finish. Overall, a really pleasant stay and a house we'd happily book again.

It was perfect in size for our family of 20 in attendance to all be together and yet not feel cramped and on top of each other!Closeness to the beach was great! A top balcony view of the beach was amazing.The heated swimming pool with adjoining hot tub was great to have since our visit was later March with some cooler days/evenings still happening. It was unfortunate that there was some problems with the hot tub not functioning during our stay, but the resident manager was quick to respond and communicate about the issues. We also had one room shower with mechanical issues that was not fixed while we were there. The home was clean. Impressed with ample tables and seating space for our large group. The kitchen was very adequately stocked with basic cookware and dishes to prepare and serve our own meals. 2 dishwashers and 3 refrigerators were much appreciated and used!A few items we expected but had to shop for: trash bags, dish detergent, paper towels since only one kitchen towel was provided for our 5 day stay, along with no hand towels in the half bath and the bathroom off the pool room.

Our family enjoyed spending time together at this home, but our stay was overshadowed by two significant issues.First, there was a noticeable roach infestation in the kitchen, which made us uncomfortable using the kitchen or any of the cookware and raised concerns about the home's cleanliness. Second, the air conditioning in the main living area (kitchen, dining, and family room) was not working properly, leaving those spaces around 82F in the evenings, which made them very uncomfortable.The host was responsive when contacted, but the overall handling of these issues was disappointing. He offered to treat the roaches after our stay, which did not help during our visit. After several follow-ups, he attempted to repair the AC himself before eventually sending a technician, but the problem was never fully resolved. While we understand that unexpected maintenance issues can happen, what was most frustrating was the lack of an apology.. We also learned that the host was already aware the AC unit needed servicing before our arrival.We hope these issues have since been resolved, but we believe future guests should be aware of our experience before booking.

Thank you for your review. We are so happy you enjoyed time with your family! Its a great large home to host 26 people together. Addressing a couple of your items: While palmetto bugs are common in Charleston, what you saw in the one lower cupboard that you thought were droppings, we did find out that in fact these were not droppings…rather a spilled item. We never saw a bug, and there was certainly no “infestation”. We do have the house serviced regularly, and have not had any issues before or after your stay. The entire house is also professionally cleaned after each stay (several times each month). On the AC, the below is incorrect. The host was not aware of any outstanding service needs. As we discussed in person there are 5 HVAC units that work concurrently to cool the house. With heat indexes well over 100 degrees, the doors need to be closed for the upstairs loft of the house to cool, especially with 26 people in one area of the house. It cooled down overnight each time. The HVACs are also on a regular service schedule. We have also added localized additional cooling capacity for extreme high heat day. We would love to host your family again! Thank you!
