This is a wonderful place to stay. The view is incredible, the house extremely comfortable and the kitchen perfectly appointed. We enjoyed this spot very much and would love to come back. I could sit on the deck and watch the river all day long.

Very nice relaxing property overlooking the Columbia River. Short drive to waterfall and other places. Elaine the host was most responsive to any questions I had.
Beautiful property. Beautiful view. Comfortable bed. Very clean and very well maintained. Driveway may be difficult to back out from with larger vehicle, but you can park on street. We made it, but my car struggled on steep short gravel/dirt rd to get there.Host answered messages promptly and was great to deal with.

Thanks, Andrew. I am glad you enjoyed the house.
I haven't ever had anyone else mention the dirt road that is a bit steep before you turn off onto our street. I know in communicating with you, you found approaching it in your car from 10th made it easier.
Perhaps most people have front wheel drive or 4wd on their vehicles.
Appreciate your honesty, and I hope you come back!
We had such a wonderful family trip at the Viewpad! The listing said 3 baths when there were only 2 and there was some dog hair from a previous guest but otherwise very clean! It was well stocked, our kids LOVED the game room and the gorgeous view just made all the time there feel really special. We would definitely stay there again!

Sarah,
Thanks so much for the great review - and you are right about the listing saying at the top 3 baths - I am digging deep to try and find out HOW that happened as everywhere else I report 2!
But I am so glad you enjoyed the stay - come back soon!

My husband and I enjoyed a relaxing stay at this home situated on a hill overlooking the Columbia River and dam. The field behind the house allowed us to receive a visit from a young buck with velvet still on his antlers as we had our morning coffee, and in the evening, we watched the occasional bat fly by. The kitchen was well-stocked and the sofa and bed very comfortable.
The house was great! Very comfortable and spacious layout. Amazing deck and view! Cozy bedrooms and large kitchen with everything you need to cook. The driveway is tight but works for a small car and there is street parking.
The cleanest VRBO I have ever stayed in. Host was a great communicator and very gracious! View and patio was very much appreciated. All bedding and furnishings were great.
Elaine was so welcoming and helpful. She was wonderful to deal with and so prompt on communication. The house was spotless and had absolutely everything we needed. You cannot beat the view- just phenomenal. Would absolutely stay again!

Tammie was a fabulous guest. Communicative, clean and very friendly. I am so happy she had a good weekend at the ViewPad. Come back anytime and happy travels!
Our family of 4 enjoyed this space as a home base for exploring around the Columbia River Gorge area. It was extremely well appointed and has a great view of The Dalles dam from the dining area/patio. The hot tub was a nice touch - just know it is not up on the deck, but on the ground floor. We had two elementary-age kids and they enjoyed playing with the activities in the garage (foosball, darts, etc.) and the toys, etc. The kitchen was very well-equipped. Beds were comfortable. Laundry was easy. The driveway felt a little intimidating but we managed it just fine in a minivan. We'd definitely come back to this spot if we are in the area again! Thank you!
The host Elaine was very accommodating to any questions and requests. The ViewPad was exceptional! Very clean and comfortable. The coffee and 1/2 and 1/2 was a very appreciated. The view was awesome-especially at night with all the lights lit.The game room was a hit with my granddaughters. I hope to stay there again soon.

Thanks so much, Nancy. I would love to host you anytime. You were communicative, clean and easy to host. Happy travels!
What a lovely place! The view is truly amazing - sunrises and sunsets are spectacular. The big towels for our dear little dog were helpful - covered the couch nicely. The deck is so comfortable with a railing with wires close enough the little thing couldn't escape! The king bed is comfy and appreciate the many hangers in the walk-in closet. What is amazing are the plants - large and small are in each room. The provide a warm and gentle vibe - and the fresh flowers are truly a bonus. Elaine responded quickly to my questions (even those that were already in the instructions, but I missed somehow!). The neighbor to the east was sweet - and sent me home with zinnia seeds. The kitchen is stocked with lots of spices, basic condiments in the fridge and plenty of pots and pans. Plenty of beautiful dishes and flatware, too. We were nervous about putting our plates on the beautiful live-wood table, so used hand towels! The driveway is a tight one, for sure. We figured out it’s best to drive to the street east of Morton then drive west on 9th Street (it’s dirt, so don’t miss it). Allows your vehicle to line up for the backing in. So many lovely touches, it’s hard to list them all. Oh yeah, the little dog treats and small wines in the basket by the fresh flowers! You’ll enjoy this lovely place. We’d recommend walks at Horsethief Butte on the WA side, the Columbia Gorge Discovery Center west side of town and the French restaurant Petite Provence - great lunch and breakfast!

Dear Debra,
Thank you so much for the wonderful review and gorgeous pictures. It so warms my heart to know how much you enjoyed the ViewPad. We always hope it meets and maybe even exceeds travelers expectations - I know when I take a trip it is a special moment in my life and I hope to create that space for people.
You were also a special guest. I was so happy to host you, your husband and what looks like a very sweet dog.
In gratitude,
Elaine
Very pleasant pet-friendly fully equipped home with gorgeous views and nice amenities not typical with most vacation homes, such as a hot tub and game room. Effortless no contact check-in process. We visit The Dalles multiple times a year to visit family and have already rebooked for Thanksgiving!
