About this property
The Aspens are Golden NOW- Remote Home w/ Views
If your idea of a Montana getaway includes space, silence, and big-sky nights, Ramsay Mountain Retreat delivers. This private home sits on 70+ acres of secluded terrain between Butte and Anaconda, giving you the best of both worlds: easy access to town and complete privacy when you’re ready to unplug.
This part of Montana carries real history—mining towns, rail routes, and rugged landscapes that shaped the American West. Today, it’s a playground for outdoor travelers and a haven for anyone who wants to slow down. Ramsay Mountain Retreat is your home base for both: explore, then return to a property where you can’t see your neighbors and the stars feel close enough to touch.
With 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a dedicated private office, the home is built for both adventure and recovery—ski days, trail days, fishing days, and the kind of nights where the only soundtrack is the wind in the trees.
Choose your own adventure by day—come back to quiet, space, and the kind of Montana that still feels undiscovered.

Beautiful setting on the mountain, secluded and private. The house was very clean and was as in the pictures. It was unusually hot this summer- wish there were curtains on the south and west sides to keep the house cooler due to lack of AC.
Indoor space was well appointed and extremely clean and comfortable. It was perfect for our group, as we came with collaborative work to do indoors and needed to spread out with lots of musical instruments! We were all adults, but noticed many supplies that would make it very child-friendly. (There's no railing on any deck, however...) The price was reasonable for the space. Fast wifi, easy directions on how to use things, etc. This place would be great for folks who want to get out and explore the wider area, or for folks who are getting things done indoors, playing cards, etc. (FYI, the bunk beds in the 3rd bedroom would not work well for an adult-sized adult.)It's clear, however, that this is a VERY new property, carved out as part of a larger subdivision plopped into the foothills between Butte and Anaconda. The outdoor space was extremely rough and hard on the eye, as it had only recently been bulldozed to bring in this double-wide manufactured home. Landscaping and planting will make a huge difference -- right now the exterior was, frankly, depressing to look at, and we didn't want to hang out outdoors even though the weather was great. Also, we weren't able to locate any "walking trails," and the one "trail" we found seems to be a very steep, very rugged trail for hunters with their 4-wheelers.Until the landscaping is really cleaned up, I don't recommend this location for people who want to hang around outside and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
