Our home is the perfect base camp for any plans you have here in Colorado. We are minutes from the sporting and concert venues of downtown and perfectly positioned for easy access to outdoor recreation. Or if your plans involve a lot of nothing, it’s the perfect place to gather friends and family for a stay-cation. Bring your furry friends to enjoy our large fenced yard. Find peace at the end of a cul-de-sac and a park you can access around the corner for miles of trails and great mountain views.
The house has a fantastic layout for groups to spend time together and also have their own spaces for privacy. Each bedroom is on its own floor.
We live here when the house is not booked, so you can be sure you will feel at home with lots of supplies that other rentals may not have included (like ziplocks and tissues). But don't worry, you'll have the whole property to yourself when you rent with us. We use the rental times as an excuse to visit relatives who live far away, go on vacations, take our boat out, or spend time at our mountain property. We leave our kids' room, the primary closet, and the garage locked off when we leave for our personal storage.

Home is very spacious, almost to spacious for the kids. Shannon was quick to respond to any questions. We would definitely stay here again.

Hi, I'm Shannon!
I've lived in Colorado for 20 years and have been at this particular property for 10 years. When I left teaching after a decade of educating 4h graders to raise my own children, my husband and I started kicking around ideas to supplement our single income. We're adventurous people and wanted to raise our family to be always on the move and exploring. So we listed this property, our primary residence, as a short term rental and used the time that it was booked to travel to visit family, spend time on our boat, or visit our mountain property where we live in a camper.
I love being a host because it enables me to raise my sons and do some awesome adventures while the house is rented. We've gotten paid to go backpacking, scuba diving, fishing, hunting, mountain biking, and take our sons to visit their extended families who all live outside of Colorado.
Renting our primary residence offers a unique opportunity for our guests too because they reap the benefits of a fully stocked home. I hate when I am renting a property and am trying to store leftovers and there are no ziplocks or tupperware to be found in the kitchen. Guests won't have those sorts of problems at our house!
Why they chose this property
We love this house because the front and back yard are fenced together so there is lots of space for pets and kids to play. We have several mature trees that are homes to lots of birds and squirrels and there are always bunny rabbits in the yard. Sometimes they put on our own little National Geographic show as they interact with each other.
Being at the end of a cul-du-sac means there's not a lot of traffic going by, so it's a safe road for kids to ride bikes and guests to park cars on the street in front of the house. Our neighbors are friendly, yet private. We all respect each other's space, but will stop and chat if we happen to be out walking on the street at the same time.
We regularly walk out the door and around the corner to Crown Hill Park where there are miles of paved and gravel trails around a scenic lake with great mountain views. Our previous guests have highlighted this convenience as a major asset to our property.
What makes this property unique
Our front and back yard fenced in together is a major plus for pets and kids to have lots of room to run around.
Our mature Western Hemlock tree in the backyard provides the best shady spot to chill on the deck in the summer.
Being at the end of a cul-du-sac provides a sense of privacy and calm even while guests are close to lots of amenities.
A walk on the miles of trails at Crown Hill Park right from the front door is a great way to see local bird life and mountain views, especially awesome at sunset.
