Summary:

Welcome to your oceanfront Acadia getaway, beautifully situated on the "Quiet Side" of Mount Desert Island. This four bedroom historic home has sweeping ocean views and access to a private beach, pier and deep water mooring.



Escape to a tranquil retreat on the shores of Blue Hill Bay and neighboring the stunning Acadia National Park. With 200 feet of beach access, this special vacation rental is ideal for nature lovers, outdoor enthusiasts, and anyone in search of a quiet break.



The Space:

This home is a historic "Cape" style cottage dating back to the 1850's situated off of a quiet side road that runs parallel to the western shores of Mount Desert Island. The downstairs consists of a mudroom, full bathroom, kitchen, dining room, living room, master bedroom with queen size bed, and an office. The upstairs has a large bedroom with a full size bed and reading nook overlooking the ocean, a smaller bedroom with a full size bed and a third bedroom with two twin size beds.



There is a spacious back porch overlooking the ocean with seating for 8 and a propane grill. Its a short walk down to 200 feet of spectacular private cobblestone beach overlooking Blue Hill Bay, deep water frontage with private mooring and a new 150' pier with float/dock. This unique property enjoys southern exposure with amazing sunsets and island views from nearly every vantage point. You will most likely get to observe the resident deer and geese on your stay.



Guest Access:

You will have access to the entire first and second floors of the house.



The Neighborhood:

This house is located on the "Quiet Side" of Mount Desert Island. It is located off of a private road and shares ocean access with four other small rental properties.



Other Things to Note:

This is a historic home built in the 1850's with some quicks that come with age, in particular the staircase to the second floor has steep steps and the second floor has low ceilings.



Beach and dock access is shared with a few other adjacent rental cabins.
