The property was great, very peaceful, quiet neighborhood. Friendly neighbors who keep an eye on things and really make things feel safe. Lots of shade trees, and walking distance from the water even though the lake was about 8ft low. We were able to beach our boat and walk to the house. Also, there was plenty of room to park the truck and boat in the driveway. Also, a great location on the lake. The house itself was clean and had just what we needed. Cold AC (and plenty of heat, we had to use both during our stay), stocked kitchen, and very comfortable mattresses and pillows. The hosts were very responsive and answered all of our questions. We would definitely stay here again!
The host was very informative… It was easy to find and one of the easier driveways to back the pontoon in.. its very clean beds are super comfy.. will definitely be staying if available the rest of tournament season!!!
It was just as described, lovely and peaceful. I was told ahead of time that the water level was low due to the damn being open. I chose to rent anyway and i am glad i did. Great little property tucked away in a quiet area.
Our family thoroughly enjoyed this house on the lake. It has a nice view of the lake, great for fishing and floating. The neighbors were friendly and the house had everything you need for a weekend stay,
My family and I had a great weekend relaxing and fishing on the property! The AC is nice and cold, beds are comfy and the kitchen had everything we needed to prep for for every meal. We will most definitely be returning! A
Quiet, secluded, and you can beach your boat on the property. This is the fourth place we have stayed on Sam Rayburn, and by far the best. We will rent it again.
We enjoyed our stay at this house. It is on the water and is close to a boat launch. Owner is very responsive and willing to help as much as possible. A must stay!
Owners were very quick with communication. We had to adjust our dates after booking and they were very quick to adjust. Very clean and convenient location for daily fishing. If you’re not fishing, you can sit on the back porch and enjoy looking at the lake or going for a swim right from the back yard! We will be staying again! Highly recommend!

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in
Disliked: Listing accuracy
The property itself was just fine. A disclosure was given that the lake water level had been lowered. What we did not expect was to find that the cove behind the property was bone dry. We had brought fishing equipment and a kayak. This could have been better communicated we think.

Dear Mitchell,
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re glad to hear you found the property itself enjoyable, and we appreciate the opportunity to clarify the water level situation.
As clearly stated in the property description, the cove behind the home currently has no water access due to extremely low lake levels due to the level being lowered for repairs at the dam. This information is provided to help guests plan accordingly. We understand that fishing and kayaking were part of your plans, and we regret that the lack of water impacted your experience.
Your comments are valuable, and we’ll continue working to ensure this information is communicated as clearly as possible for future guests.
We hope future guests will thoroughly read the low water level notice and contact us with questions before booking.
Cute small lake house was the prefect little get away spot. Right on the water, we could leave our boat out. Let me just say the deer were out and about. When we first arrived there were 3 deer right near the back porch, it was so neat to see. Quiet area. Would stay here again.
A group of friends bought this wonderful lake house home to share with their family and friends. Our eldest partner is a decorated Vietnam veteran who has many kids and grand-kids who enjoy the cabin. The two other partners are a dedicated couple who love to fish and participate in competition BBQ and chili cook-offs (Viva Terlingua!).
Why they chose this property
We chose this property because of the lakefront location and view first and foremost. The house has windows front to back so you never feel separated from the great outdoors. The property perfectly combines the feel of a quaint cabin with modern amenities including wifi and internet TV. We can't forget to mention the cove the property sits on as it is one of the best fishing coves on the lake. We routinely see tournament fisherman casting directly at our shoreline and catching big bass.
What makes this property unique
This is truly a lakefront property, not just a lake view. We have added some unique additions to enhance your stay like a fire pit with recycled pine tree seats, a fish cleaning station and an outdoor heated shower.
