About this property
Waterfront Maine Cabin w/ Deck, Fire Pit & Trails
Escape to Maine’s Great North Woods and unwind at this peaceful, dog-friendly waterfront cabin tucked along the tranquil Sturtevant Stream and surrounded by conservation land. Set on a spacious private lot, this two-bedroom retreat offers a true off-the-beaten-path experience with snowmobile access nearby, four-season outdoor recreation, and direct waterfront access just steps from the cabin, where you can paddle upstream to Sturtevant Pond or downstream to the Magalloway River.
Inside, the home blends rustic cabin charm with modern comforts. Both bedrooms feature king-size beds, while the living area includes a full futon and a sleeper chair, making it ideal for families or small groups. After a day outdoors, relax with board games, flat-screen TVs, and a cozy dining area perfect for sharing meals and stories.
The kitchen is fully stocked with a stove, oven, refrigerator, microwave, drip coffee maker, blender, toaster, toaster oven, and everything you need to cook at home. Guests are provided with linens, towels, complimentary toiletries, a hair dryer, and Wi-Fi. Washer and dryer are available in the unfinished basement, and the cabin is equipped with central heating and ceiling fans.
Step outside to enjoy the cabin’s highlight — a serene outdoor living space overlooking the stream. A furnished deck with outdoor dining, a wood-burning fire pit, and a grill invite you to relax under the stars, while nearby water access makes it easy to kayak, fish, or simply enjoy the quiet surroundings.
In winter, this location is ideal for snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, ice fishing, and skating at nearby Umbagog Lake. Warmer months bring hiking, wildlife watching, paddling, and peaceful evenings immersed in nature. Please note the cabin does not have air conditioning, but Maine’s cool nights, natural shade, and ceiling fans keep the space comfortable.
The cabin is one story with a step down upon entry and steps down to the bedrooms and bathroom. Parking is available for up to four vehicles in the gravel and grass driveway. For safety, there is one outward-facing exterior security camera. The property is dog-friendly with a pre-trip pet fee and a maximum of two dogs allowed.
Whether you’re visiting for snowmobile season, a summer escape, or a quiet fall retreat, this waterfront cabin offers a rare combination of privacy, comfort, and access to Maine’s most beautiful outdoor experiences.
Snowmobiling: While there's no direct trail access from the property, guests have easy trailer access to major trail systems in both directions-from Rangeley, ME to Errol, NH.
