About this property

Working Ranch House with Astonishing Mountain & Valley Panoramic Views

Welcome to serene Mondorosa Ranch located in the heart of Colorado. This 3-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom, 2 story, off-grid round house is designed to enjoy breathtaking 180-degree views of the Sangre De Cristo mountain range—a truly exclusive experience. Nestled on 220 acres of rolling hills at 8,500 ft, this working ranch offers enough private lands with the adjoining additional 4000 acres for hiking, biking, and horse-riding trails, making your stay truly exceptional.
Your morning sunrise coffee never tasted so good as your gaze out the windows. Ending the day on the patio watching the sunset is only surpassed in beauty by the unbelievable stargazing at the Milky Way.

The 220 acres ranch property consists of a main house, hen house, green house, tool shop garage, four stall horse barn, equipment barn, historic homestead corrals --- all off-grid solar. The house enjoys radiant floor heating throughout, two private room fireplaces and one wood-burning stove.

Located close to Royal Gorge sports & leisure activities as well as the historic mining towns of Cripple Creek & Victor are within view of the house. The diverse culture & dining possibilities of Salida & Buena Vista are just a short scenic drive and worth every moment.

The nearby Arkansas River offers diverse fishing, from Colorado's Gold Medal trout waters (browns, rainbows) with fly fishing options along scenic Bighorn Sheep Canyon. Lake fishing in 11 Mile Reservoir, Spinney Lake, Antero Reservoir, and Lake Pueblo.

Expect to see mule deer, elk, pronghorn antelope, bighorn sheep, black bear, mountain lion, bobcat, coyote, and hares with the biggest ears you've ever seen during your stay.

Mondorosa Ranch raises cattle, horses, and chickens. We'll leave a dozen farm fresh eggs in the refrigerator on your arrival.

Feel free to reach out to us during your stay – we're happy to suggest local spots to check out.
