About this property

Grouse Nest-Peaceful and Charming, Pet Friendly!

Welcome to Grouse Nest. You’ll love the cozy feel and charm of this lovely, private, cabin. Tucked in the trees with peek a boo mountain views, relax on the covered porch in the cool mountain air, with nature all around you.

Step inside this warm and inviting space and make yourself at home! The main level offers an incredible open floor plan with a gas fireplace comfy seating and beautiful decor. The eat in country kitchen is well appointed with everything you may need for cooking and dining.

A generous first floor master suite with attached full bath is perfect for unwinding after a day of hiking, skiing or sight seeing. There is an additional guest bath and washer dryer on this level as well for our guest’s comfort and convenience.

Travel upstairs to the second floor loft bedroom which sleeps 3 and boasts a tv and air hockey table. A perfect space for kids!

Back outside you’ll enjoy a fire pit, gas grilling and plenty of outdoor space to relax and enjoy the mountain air.

Grouse Nest is located in a private setting but still just a short drive to the many wonderful area attractions such as the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Blue Ridge Parkway, Cherokee, Harrah’s Casino, Historic Downtown Waynesville, and Maggie Valley.

Guests will have access to the entire home and property during their stay.

We are available by message, text or phone any time! Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you need anything at all.

You will need a car to access the property and to enjoy the many area attractions.

Some of the roads close to the house are hard packed gravel and there is a gravel driveway. While 4WD/AWD is not necessary in good weather on the roads, it is necessary in snow or ice.

We do our best to keep the gravel driveway as smooth as possible but it is on an incline and AWD or 4WD is preferred unless a driver is experienced on gravel.
