ALARM SYSTEM: We use SimpliSafe to protect our home and guests. We have outdoor security cameras monitoring two (2) exterior doors. We have a motion sensor in the living room that remains OFF during all reservations when the alarm system is inactive.

HISTORIC HOME: Our home, over 100 years old and well-cared-for, shows its age in some places. Expect loving wear, quaint aging, and a charming patina inside and outside.

Welcome to Cane River Living Speakeasy, a 1920s-inspired luxury retreat in the heart of Downtown Natchitoches, steps from Front Street and the riverbank. Perfect for romantic getaways, festival weekends, wedding groups, family trips, and creative retreats, this cinematic home blends vintage Southern charm with modern comfort and accessible design.

Enjoy fireworks from the yard and watch the Christmas Festival parade from the front porch.

The room names mean "Beloved Cane River Lake."

An airy, elegant suite with a king bed, brass accents, warm drapery, and vintage-inspired details. Includes a chaise lounge that converts to a queen sleeper.

Roseaux Suite (Cane)

Best host ever! She’s thought of everything. Location is perfect for festivals, excellent AC and not to mention the amazing renovation and vibe owners created for this one of a kind home. We absolutely loved it and can’t wait to return.

This house has so much charm… it’s unique styling sets you back in time! Our family chose this fun house in historic downtown because it had so many activities to keep our kids entertained when we were not out exploring. So much space!!!!We will he back and make sure that we are able to catch the Mardi Gras parade too!The host was attentive and when we had questions or needed guidance was quick to respond… great house for both families and couples!

We absolutely loved this home, only issue we had was we were so busy we didn't get to enjoy it as much as we wanted. We will definitely be back. The host of this property goes above and beyond with even leaving us goodies to eat and some Lemonade - Orange water.
