We spent our anniversary here. There was a car show in town which was great. The town was active and fun. We will definitely keep this cottage on our radar if we go back for any events in the future. Walking distance to downtown which was exactly what we were looking for.

We loved the cottage and had so much fun. It was the perfect place to stay.
The cottage was cozy and accommodating. Plenty of room for the five of us girls, and we enjoyed the amenities of The Blue House as well. Breakfast was delicious, and we loved the fresh jams produced locally. It was perfect on the biscuits! The staff was so friendly and helpful and always offered great suggestions. They gave us a tour of The Steel Magnolia house, which was so special. The location was close to the Festival of Lights, so we walked and took in the beautiful Christmas scenery.

Not suitable for a comfortable stay.
Not enough coffee. Bathroom door has no lock. Furniture not comfortable. Should be made clear to guest in main house that cottage guest have access as well. Location is by far the best attribute of this cottage.

Nice cottage with extra rooms
We took a sister trip to one of our favorite places. Nachitoches LA. There were four of staying and four more that came to visit for a couple of hours. This cottage is perfect for anyone that wants more than just a hotel room. There is a kitchen with stove and full size fridge. We brought dumplings and pulled pork in crock pots. Olya who took care of us was an absolute joy. It was going to be her first time cleaning the cottage so i did point out some minor things that could use attention.

Good cottage not great
Well worn, uncared for.Vertical blinds broken, won't close. Dirty windows full of algae and other unknowns.Bedroom door and closet door hard to open and close. Very little silverware. Not enough coffee cups for 4. Open can of soda in refrigerator and vegetable drawer is full of water. 2nd bedroom has no closet and no place for luggage on floor. Bowl of apples on table were wrinkled and drying up. I have photos if needed.
We enjoyed our trip. Although the property only had one bathroom for 4 adults, the location made the difference. Downtown parking is challenging and limited especially on weekends. We were only blocks from the historic downtown, the American Cemetry and the Fort.
The company also has Steel Magnolia, so we had breakfast one morning at that location. Bridgett coordinated everything was helpful and prompt with any questions. All the ladies at both homes were also very helpful and worked hard to make our stay memorable.
I highly recommend this property and would book again if in the area.
We loved the house and the location! Everything was perfect♥️
