Family-Friendly Lakefront Getaway on Paradise Lake

Paradise Lake Escape is a private, lakefront retreat thoughtfully designed for families and multigenerational groups. The main cottage and detached bunkhouse comfortably sleep up to 8 guests, offering space to be together while still allowing room to spread out.

Families will love the sandy, shallow swimming area, stairs leading safely down to the lake and seasonal dock, and evenings spent around the fire pit. The separate bunkhouse provides an ideal setup for kids, teens, or grandparents, complete with its own living space with beverage fridge.

Parents will appreciate modern comforts including gig-speed internet, washer and dryer, multiple living areas, and a quiet, low-traffic setting. The property also features a Level 2 (50 amp) EV charger that can accommodate electric vehicles or RV hookups, making travel easy and convenient.

For peace of mind, the property is equipped with two exterior security cameras located at the front and back of the home (exterior only). Located near biking trails and just a short drive to Petoskey, Harbor Springs, and Mackinac Island. Paradise Lake Escape is the perfect home base for creating lasting family memories.

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Take out all bagged trash to the trash bins located next to the shed. Check for any cords, phones, or computers so you don't forget anything.
Please return bikes to the storage tent and kayaks to the rack upside down so they don't collect water. Return paddles, helmets, life vests, water toys, etc., dry and to their original locations.
Leave beds unmade and the towels in the bathroom; we will handle them for you. Close the windows and lock the doors as you leave. Please travel home safely!
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

- Supervise children near the bluff, stairs, dock, and water. - The detached bunkhouse shares bathrooms with the main cottage.

Amazing property with great views and cost effective. Host very communicative and this property has everything you could think of. Fans, high chair, coffee area, laundry area, privacy, kayaks, etc. Amazing. Already talking about planning our next visit to the area utilizing this property!

Paradise Lake Escape lives up to it's name in every way! It truly is a little slice of paradise - and you will feel like you've escaped all the worries of the world at this fantastic oasis! Our family enjoyed our stay here immensely and especially appreciated the owner's obvious attention to detail, the cleanliness and the VIEW! We ate three meals in the home and found the kitchen well-stocked with all the essentials and then some (oil, spices, plastic wrap, etc. - such a bonus!) But even beyond the perfection of the place itself, the owner, Joe, went above and beyond in caring for our family. My husband and I arrived before our (married) kids to prepare things for them. When we went to get things ready for our 10 week-old grandson, we were unable to find the pack 'n play that the listing indicated would be available. I contacted Joe, who felt truly awful because there really was supposed to be a pack 'n play available and he clearly had no idea it had gone missing (stolen? inadvertently taken by a renter?) - so within the hour he had ordered a new one and had it delivered to our door! We had the brand new crib set up and ready for the sleepy boy when he arrived! We've stayed at MANY vacation rentals over the years, but we've never encountered such an attentive, responsive, and gracious host! YAY, Joe! We'd HIGHLY recommend this gorgeous cottage on Paradise Lake to anyone looking for quiet and respite, or a close stay to Mackinac Island (only 10 minutes away).

Our stay at Paradise Lake Escape was literally a dream come true. We were looking for a peaceful retreat and we were not disappointed. The cottage was clean, beautifully decorated, and very well-stocked. Joe and his family have literally thought of everything you could possibly want. It is the epitome of "Glamping" with all of the amenities of a boutique hotel and all of the aspects of an iconic camping experience, such as family times around the campfire and lying on the dock staring up at a sky full of stars.The cottage has breathtaking views of Paradise Lake from almost every window and there are many outdoor spots to relax and enjoy the beauty as well. Although there is plenty to enjoy at Paradise Lake Escape with kayaks, bikes, and games, the cottage is also located near many wonderful places to explore. We visited Wilderness State Park, Cross in the Woods in Indian River, Mackinaw City, Mackinaw Island, and Cheboygan. We had a fabulous week and hope to return again.Joe is an outstanding host and is extremely responsive to any question or concern. We really couldn't ask for anything more. We will be forever grateful to Joe and his family for their amazing hospitality. We're so grateful to them for sharing their little slice of Heaven with us.

We had an excellent stay at Lake Paradise! The property was beautiful and clean. The guest house was a nice added bonus! We had 2 dogs and 3 kids and they all had so much fun on the lake! The provided kayaks were amazing as well. This property was well stocked with everything we needed and more! We would love to come back some day!

Beautiful property overlooking the lake. Quiet and peaceful. Property has two separate living spaces which are well suited to a large family. Host was very responsive and helpful. Easy access to Mackinaw City for transport to Mackinac island. Highly recommended.

By far one of the best rentals we’ve ever stayed at! House was stocked with everything we needed. We had 4 kids under the age of 6 and they had a blast! They loved fishing off the dock, going on the kayaks, roasting s’mores with the spacious firepit, and host even provided games! All bedrooms were nice and clean, air worked great for us, host even had a couple box fans for us fan sleepers!We enjoyed grilling every night. We even messaged host within an hour of being there to ask to come back for other dates! We come from a family that travels a lot and even has a couple rentals, and we were very pleased. The views were amazing for morning coffee as well!This is by far a 11/10 house! I’m hoping that renters respect this space for the future so it lasts long! Thank you again! We can’t wait to come back! :)

Why they chose this property

As soon as I drove down the long driveway and looked out over the bluff at the lake I knew I wanted to call this place mine! Between the peaceful setting the access to great golf, fishing, boating, and all that Up North Michigan offers I thought this would be the perfect place to host friends, family and make new memories. I look forward to hearing about your travels and what you enjoyed while vacationing here!

What makes this property unique

Easy access to Mackinaw, Upper Peninsula, Harbor Springs, Petoskey, bike path, and great golf. Not to mention right on the lake with an amazing sandy bottom that seems like you can walk out forever.
