Cute little place. The location is not the best but for the price it’s worth it. Cheaper than any decent hotels in town with much more space and privacy.
Kurt moved us to a larger home for a better fit for our adults. The area was in the country, small town vibes. Very quiet and laid back. The place we stayed in was unique & cute! All the amenities we needed. As all women we felt very safe to come in at night. We could park right out front and left the porch light on. Super clean, provided the extras. We will definitely stay there again if ever in town.

While Kurt was great to deal with, we didn’t end up staying in the tiny house. He moved our group of 3 to his other rental on the same property. It was okay, but I wish I would have asked more questions. It was more of a motel barnominium which was more people-y than we preferred. Overall okay place to stay, minus the random leftovers in the freezer.

Response from VrboOwner on 10 Apr 2026
Hi Emily! Sorry about the freezer items. Most of our guests take advantage of surplus items and we leave them there as a courtesy for those who wish to participate by paying it forward instead of throwing good stuff out.
But you make a good point. In the future, On reservation I’ll inquire if that activity is desirable and if not then I’ll remove condiments and freezer items.
Thank you for staying with us. I thought the accommodations were better suited with the Barndominum but next time if you wish to see the tiny home before deciding I’ll be happy to show you.

We didn’t even stay at the property we intended on staying in and paid for. The listing said “tiny house”. It was adorable. So I booked it. Then the owner tells me the property was unavailable and told me I could stay in a more spacious nicer barn dominium. I asked if it was in the same vicinity and he said “Same”. I was confused cause he never updated me on the new place as far as pictures. Honestly, I was like if it’s even remotely as cute as that tiny home then it will be fine. It was not. It was like someone lives there but let us stay for the night cause they were gone. I had to clean the toilet. Wet dog odor, dog hair everywhere, especially on the old sofas, sheets were bleached stained mismatched and had peels on them. Pillows were just gross. Guys, there was breast milk in the freezer. No coffee. If the property was as nice as the owner, we would be all right. Unfortunately, it wasn’t. It had a lot of potential but didn’t hit the mark for us. I took pics as evidence.
We had a great stay at this unique tiny house in Stephenville, TX. The communication with the host was excellent, and the property was exactly as advertised. The house was very clean and well equipped with everything we needed, including a full kitchen with cookware, a refrigerator, dishwasher, and washer and dryer. The living room was comfortable and had a large TV, and the downstairs bedroom also had Tv was very comfortable. The bathroom was also very clean and well maintained. The only issue we experienced was with the upstairs loft bedroom. The space is quite low, so anyone over about 4 feet tall may find it difficult to use comfortably. During our summer stay, the loft also became extremely warm due to limited air circulation, making it essentially unusable for sleeping. The two mini-split units kept the lower levels very cold and comfortable, but the cool air didn't circulate well into the loft. One possible improvement would be installing a fan or another type of fan in the upper living-room/loft area to help push the cool air from the mini-split up into the loft. That would likely make a significant difference during the warmer months.Other than the loft temperature issue, we really enjoyed our stay. The property was clean, comfortable, well stocked, and exactly as described. We would definitely consider staying here again and would recommend it to others.
