Picture eighteen of your favorite people scattered across ten peaceful acres — some
cannonballing into the pool, some sinking into the hot tub as the fire pit crackles, kids
racing to the playset while dinner comes together in a kitchen built for a crowd. Ten
minutes from the Ark Encounter, this seven-bedroom retreat is where the whole family
finally slows down together. The porch light's on. Bring everyone
The Space:
Step through the double doors into a great room with soaring vaulted ceilings,
exposed wood beams, and a stone fireplace that anchors the whole gathering. Every
sightline leads to another spot for the group to land — the sectional by the fire, or the
dining table set for a crowd.
The main floor holds three bedrooms and two full bathrooms, including a private
primary suite with its own en-suite bath. The kitchen is fully stocked with cookware,
serving pieces, a dishwasher, and a coffee maker, so the person who always cooks for
everyone gets to enjoy the trip too.
Downstairs, the finished basement opens into a second living area built for rainy
afternoons and late-night hangouts: air hockey, foosball, and arcade games line one
wall, with a lounge area for the adults keeping score. Four more bedrooms and three
full bathrooms are tucked down here.
Outside is where this property earns its keep. The pool (heated on request, open
April–October) sits beneath a covered pergola beside the hot tub, so you can move
from a swim to a soak without missing a beat. As evening comes, the fire pit takes
over — s'mores, string lights, and conversation that only happens after dark. A
dedicated playset and wide-open grassy acreage give the youngest guests room to
Who This Home Is Best For
- Multi-generational families who want everyone under one roof but still want a door
to close at night — the main-floor primary suite and basement bedrooms naturally
separate grandparents from teenagers.
- Church groups and retreats needing a home base with room to gather, a game room
for downtime, and enough bathrooms that mornings don't turn into a line.
- Reunion planners coordinating a big group — with an adjacent sister property
available, two families can book side by side and still spread out.
- Pool-and-fire-pit families who measure a good vacation by how many s'mores got
made and how late the kids stayed up swimming.
- Weekend groups road-tripping to the Ark Encounter, Kentucky Speedway, or
Cincinnati who want a quiet, private landing spot after a full day out.
run themselves tired, and a covered porch keeps the fun going even when weather
turns.
Ten beds are spread across the seven bedrooms, with linens, extra pillows and
blankets, and room-darkening shades in every room. A washer and dryer are on-site,
and the whole home is wired with wifi and a dedicated workspace.
Guest Access:
Guests have full access to the entire home for the length of their stay — every
bedroom, both living areas, the kitchen, and all outdoor space, including the pool, hot
tub, fire pit, and playset. Check-in is contactless via an electronic smart lock, with the
code sent ahead of arrival so late travel days are never a problem. After booking,
you'll receive a Guest Portal with check-in instructions, house rules, and everything
needed before you arrive.
Parking is available on-site for 4 to 8 vehicles, which comfortably covers most multifamily groups without anyone needing to park down the road. The gravel drive sits on
a quiet country road, so trailers, extra cars, or a second family's vehicles are rarely an
issue — just let us know ahead of time if your group is arriving with more than a few
cars so we can help you plan the layout.
The Neighborhood:
Tucked on a quiet road in Williamstown, Kentucky, this home sits in the rolling
countryside of Grant County — close enough to major attractions for a full day out, far
enough away that evenings stay genuinely quiet.
Getting Around:
- Ark Encounter — about 10 minutes away, the full-size Noah's Ark built to biblical
dimensions
- Lake Williamstown — minutes from the house, for an easy afternoon of boating or
fishing
- Grant County Park & Trail System — local hiking, biking, and rollerblading
- Big Bone Lick State Park — about 30 minutes, hiking trails, bison herd, Ice Age
history
- Creation Museum (Petersburg) — around 25–30 minutes, exhibits, gardens, and a
zoo
- Newport Aquarium & Newport on the Levee — about 50 minutes, aquarium and
riverfront dining
- Downtown Cincinnati — roughly 45 minutes, skyline views, museums, and the
riverfront
- Kings Island — about 1 hour 10 minutes, the Midwest's largest amusement and water

Whether the plan is one big-ticket day trip or small local outings between pool days,
everything here is an easy round trip that leaves plenty of daylight back at the house

Thanks, Karen — kids and grandkids under one roof is exactly what that house was built for. Glad everyone's already planning the return trip. We'll have it ready for you next year. — Seth
Elizabeth, it was genuinely great hosting you out at the 3650 Baton Rouge property. Navigating a new portal when you're staying somewhere for the first time isn't always intuitive, and you handled every step with so much patience and grace — that kind of easy communication makes a real difference from our end.
We heard you on the towel rack in the upstairs bathroom, and that's already been flagged for our maintenance team. Small things like that matter, and we'd rather know about them than not.
Hope the June stay was a good one, and you're always welcome back.
Seth
"This was a wonderful home for our multi-generational family gathering! The indoor space was clean, linens were plentiful, and the furnishings and appliances were top quality. We were especially impressed by the fast Wi-Fi and TV performance given the rural location. The outdoor spaces gave us plenty of options to enjoy the beauty during the day and stargazing at night.A few minor notes for future large groups: while table service for 18 was well-stocked, having extra food prep bowls and larger cookware would make cooking for a crowd easier. Additionally, blackout blinds weren't present in every bedroom as listed, and adding a second refrigerator would be a huge asset for groups of 18. Overall, a great stay!"

Melissa, thank you for taking the time to put together such a thorough rundown after your family gathering at the Baton Rouge house — that kind of detail is genuinely rare and genuinely useful, and I read every line of it. I'm glad the space worked for a multi-generational crew of that size, and hearing that you all got some good stargazing in outside is exactly the kind of thing that makes this job worth it.
On the practical side: I've already ordered the stock pot, the extra-large skillet, the liquid measuring cup, and the mixing bowls you flagged, plus hooks for the towels, so the kitchen should be much better equipped for a group cooking at that scale next time. The second refrigerator is a real idea too — it's on the table as we plan upgrades. The smaller stuff (the towel bar, the cabinet doors, the coffee pot, that mat) is getting handled as well.
I'd love to have you and your family back at the house sometime. Really appreciate you looking out for the place and for the next family through the door.
The house was a great size for 18 people! The pool was really well kept and fun. The house was perfect for our family gathering with enough room for all of us at the dining room table. We completed a 1000 piece puzzle and moved onto a 2000 piece puzzle all completed in a few days. You might need extra bags of ice. The outdoor fireplace and fire pit are awesome! Walmart is about 12-15 minutes away if you need anything from town. Nice and remote so you won’t be bothered. Definitely would visit again!

Jason, 18 people and a 2,000-piece puzzle at the dining table — that's a family gathering done right. Glad the pool and the outdoor fires held up their end too. Good tip on the extra ice for future groups; come back anytime. — Seth
Here's a polished, positive VRBO review you could post:Although we were unfortunately unable to stay at the property due to a widespread power outage affecting the area, I wanted to leave a review because the host handled the situation exceptionally well. From the moment they became aware of the issue, they were proactive, honest, and extremely responsive in their communication. They kept us informed with timely updates and were transparent about the circumstances, even when the news wasn't ideal. It was clear they genuinely cared about our experience and wanted to do the right thing. While we can't comment on the stay itself, we can absolutely speak to the host's integrity and professionalism. In a situation that was completely beyond anyone's control, they demonstrated excellent customer service and made a stressful situation much easier to navigate. We would not hesitate to book with this host again in the future.

Nicole, that was not the stay we planned for you, but your understanding during a tough situation meant a lot. When things go sideways, how you respond is everything - glad we could make a frustrating situation a little easier to navigate. We'd love to have you back for the real experience next time. - Seth
