As the photos show, this property is large and beautiful. What the photos can’t relay is how wonderfully warm the lake is or how peaceful and quiet the property is - especially on weekdays! The road down to the dock was steeper and more uneven than the aerial photo might suggest, but that won’t matter once the planned inclinator is in place. The dock was in full sun in the morning with a mix of sun and shade in the afternoon. The listing says 2 paddleboards but there was only 1. The one way that this property really disappointed us was in the maintenance - provided through Cottage Vacations. When we arrived, the cottage wasn't ready. There appeared to be only one indoor cleaning person - not nearly enough for the size of the cottage with 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, an extra kitchenette, etc. and all the associated linens. There were towels drying in the dryer and the last occupants’ food was still in the freezer. The previous occupants had not taken their garbage (contrary to the rules of the property) and the cleaning staff left it. In the principal bedroom the cord for one of the blinds was lying on the floor with the blind stuck halfway down. I took photos and alerted the owner who responded politely but it wasn’t fixed during our weeklong stay- not ideal for a window that opens to the patio. Note: The transfer station is only open 3 days a week. We had to buy clear bags after they refused to take the garbage in the black and white bags provided at the cottage.
