3 Bedroom, Cozy Cottage Near Seney Wildlife Refuge
Enjoy a vacation in the small village of Seney in the heart of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. We are centrally located to many activities. Within walking distance is a playground & the Fox River which is a famous for it's trout fishing. Seney Wildlife Refuge is 7 miles to the south. Bike or Drive the 7 mile drive through the refuge or canoe or kayak the river. Bike, canoe, kayak & ORV rentals are available. Our forest offers many beautiful back roads for the ORV fans.
We are 25 miles from Lake Superior and the beautiful town of Grand Marais. Visit the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, The Log Slides & Sable Falls. Munising is 35 miles away and offers beautiful falls, as well as Boat rides to view the Pictured Rocks and Different shipwrecks. The beautiful Tahaquamenon Falls is 50 miles away, but make sure you stop to visit the Oswald Bear Ranch on your way, and see his 31 live bear. You may be able to hold a cub! Mackinac Island, and the the Big Mac Bridge that joins the Upper & Lower Peninsula, is 1 1/2 hours away.
Winter is also a beautiful time of the year. Seney is a central hub for many snowmobile trails. Trails go to Germfask, & Curtis to the south and Newberry, Paradise, and Tahquamenon Falls to the east. Trails to the north link us to Grand Marais and on the west is Wetmore and Munising. We have one of the best groomer Crews in Michigan and they are dedicated to having the trails in tip top shape.

We are a local family and we bought this house next door in case we need it for our parents.. We rent it out when they are in Florida. We also have a Auto Parts store and Repair shop here in Seney.
Why they chose this property
Seney is so centrally located to many of the Upper Peninsula beautiful sites. We are within 35 minutes drive of Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, an hour from Taquamenon Falls, and 5 minutes from the Seney National Wildlife Center. Sault Ste Marie and Mackinaw Island are easily within driving distance. Fayette and Big Springs are also beautiful sites to see.
What makes this property unique
We are very concerned with the Covid -19 pandemic and our greatest concern is the safety of our guests. We have a air purifier in the cottage and when guests leave, we sanitize the surfaces and ALL bedding is changed . If you would feel more comfortable bringing your own bedding, please let us know and we not make the beds. You may feel free to bring your own pillows and sheets and other bedding.
