The house was beautiful, we rented it for a family event and it was perfect for cooking! Lake access was great, it’s just across a street from the location.

The property was pleasant and in very good condition. However, we experienced difficulty getting into the property because the key code in the door lock was unreliable. It often didn't work. The appliances in the kitchen were very good, but we had trouble with the dishwasher. Instruction sheets on how to use the appliances would have helped. My daughter encountered a ghost spider in the bathroom and that was unpleasant. The backyard had a nice firepit, and the house was very comfortable. We enjoyed ourselves, but it was not worth the price that was charged.

This house is even better than it looks in photos...and it is such a photogenic house and grounds that Mackenzie-Childs did a photo shoot there. Our extended family (with toddler and dog) had a really special long weekend at the house. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable; the common areas were well appointed and great for gathering; the house itself is a historical stone architecture with modern updates - excellent kitchen appliances, for example. And that's just inside. The backyard is large and great for running around barefoot between the trees. There are multiple outdoor seating areas: adirondack chairs to catch sunset; picnic table with umbrella; dining table with umbrella; and firepit with adirondack chairs; cornhole, etc. Just across the street is a private lane that leads to private lake access. We kayaked, swam, and just hung out at the waterfront - it was perfect. It was truly a special experience - if you're debating booking this house vs. one that may be a bit cheaper but doesn't look as nice, I would say, you get what you pay for. I think this was very good value - everything was as advertized, clean, and well maintained. Moreover, the host, Praneetha, was very communicative and welcoming. I would love to come back to this very special place!
