Overall a great stay

The cabin could use some minor repairs but other than that it was a LOVELY & serene space! Robbyn was very pleasant and quick to respond! We would definitely recommend this cabin &/or book again! The views are the best!!! And the location is great!

Our big family enjoyed a spectacular weekend at Mossy Oaks Lodge. Beautiful home...fantastic views. No one wanted to leave! We would highly recommend both Mossy Oaks Lodge and Manor. This was one of our BEST mini vacations EVER and we hope to return again and again! Marylou is a delight to talk with and we feel like we have a new friend in Hiawassee!

First Time Renters

With 10 people ages 9 to 60, I worried that we would be on top of each other. But the house was extremely large and layed out in such a way so that each family had some privacy. The hot tub, pool and ping pong tables were used throughout our stay. We would definitely stay here again.

The lodge was wonderful, warm, and roomy. The property was as described in the listing. It more than exceeded our expectations. The property was well kept and very clean. The views were awesome. The location was assessable yet allowed plenty of privacy. There were no problems of any kind encountered during our stay. The manager was very helpful to us. We would highly recommend this lodge to others.

We had a great trip. The details listed on VRBO were accurate. I will say that the house was a little more dated than the pictures showed and there wasnt a lake view when we were there but there was a beautiful view of the mountains. We had a group staying in the house next door that was a little intrusive and brought a dog with them that ended up on our property more than i was confortable with as it was listed as a no pets rental. Over all we had a great trip

Beautiful Location Atop a Ridge

In addition to this property, we also booked the sister property, Mossy Oaks Manor. Our group thoroughly enjoyed both of these properties. They were large enough to accommodate our group. We cooked a few meals, and the kitchens were well stocked with everything we needed to prepare our food. We found the properties to be clean and in great shape. We especially enjoyed being atop our own ridge for privacy and great scenery. We also had plenty of parking for our guests. The property manager was very helpful and responded to any inquiries we had. It was a great stay, and we hope to be back next fall.

Big cabin in Hiawassee

Great place for a large group. Lots of beds and bathrooms to accommodate all. The location is close and convenient to Hiawassee. The house was not well equipped with pots and pans and furniture was stained and could use some updating. There also was a lack of towels and no shampoo, conditioner, lotion, etc. This was all remedied with a quick trip to town but would have been nice to have known in order to bring our own. All beds were comfortable. Two beautiful decks, hot tub, and outdoor fire pit were enjoyed by our group.

Great view but house needs some repairs

Back view was very nice — porch was nice but a few boards need some art — Kitchen floor is bulging up. Trip hazards. Needs replacing. Sofas are worn out. Ice maker out — With some repair/ replacements can be a nice rental.

Beautiful Retreat

The cabin location was ideal. Just one other cabin in the area.. It was quite and peaceful. The view was beautiful. Enjoyed sitting on the porch. We saw deer and a bear. The cabin was clean. The kitchen lacked a few items. Icemaker did not work ( they came and tried to repair it, but could not). We had to buy ice all week. There was only one dishcloth and one hot pad. It was hard to use the frying pans because every thing stuck We enjoyed our stay and would like to return for another vacation.

Quiet, Spacious Lodge

Excellent rental for our family while we attended a wedding nearby. We were 5 subunits of a family and Mossy Oaks Lodge accommodated us all. Great room, kitchen, basement game room, and large decks were spacious and were wonderful, comfortable gathering locations. Even in a brisk October weekend the sun filled deck provided enjoyable, private views and the deck furniture made lounging outside a treat. Most of the bedrooms were oversized and had a "splurge" atmosphere and feel to them. The younger adults were ecstatic the hot tub was filled and warmed for a great soak on a chilly fall evening. Check-in and departure were easy and amenities were nice. Some could consider the location a bit isolated, but the quiet and privacy were fine with us. Town and restaurants are only 10 minutes away. The wedding was beautiful and our stay was made more special by having family comfortably together in Mossy Oaks Lodge.

I can not say enough great things about our stay in this beautiful cabin! Check in was a breeze! I had zero issues with the door lock like other people before me had mentioned! The directions that the owner uses in the discription are perfect! It took us a minute to find the starting point of Mc Donalds but once we found that it was smooth sailing! The long secluded pathway to the cabin is a little scary the first time but you get use to it and when they say secluded they mean it! The kitchen had everything we needed and then some! All we needed was the food to cook. I would recomend bringing trashbags towels and toiletpaper. We didnt run out but it was just my husband and I, however I feel like if you are bringing a bigger crowd then you might run out, that is literally the only things we really needed. The bed we slept in was so soft and comfortable. We couldnt figure out the fireplace but I am very convienced that that was operator error! haha.... Hot tub was clean and a wonderful addition to our relaxing stay! The small town of Hiwassee is so beautiful and the cabin is perfectly distanced away from the town! And Helen and Blairsville are the next towns over and are a short drive! We are hoping to bring the rest of our family on our next trip and try to rent the other cabin on the mountian in addition to this one!! Thank you for this amazing mountian cabin experience!!! Will definitely recommend to all my friends!!
