Come and stay in the Hersie House, a piece of history on beautiful Lake Chatuge. 3 Bedroom/1 Bath renovated 1925 farmhouse conveniently located on Hwy 76. Property has had a complete interior makeover while maintaining it's character and charm. Enjoy the lake from our boat dock. Bring your boat. Hersie House is pet friendly, offers a fire pit, and use of kayak and paddle. Come enjoy our little piece of heaven in the mountains. Situated close to town & the GA Mountain Fairgrounds.

Great base for all the mountains and lakes have to offer.

Super trip

With three kids and 2 dogs it’s hard to find a place with plenty of room to hang out, a nice stocked kitchen, and nearby activities and this is the spot! Loved the fire pit for s’mores, the lake for fishing, and all the nearby parks and waterfalls. Highly recommend

Sweet Retreat

We just spent a couple nights in Hiawassee and loved this property. It was clean and the updates are great. It’s a good location with water access. It is convenient to everything in Hiawassee.

Since moving to the area 8 years ago, we have had our eye on this farmhouse. We jumped at the opportunity to purchase it in 2019 and spent most of 2020 renovating the inside. It was a labor of love and we hope you fall in love with it as much as we have.

Why they chose this property

Stay in a piece of history while enjoying modern amenities. Hersie House was built before the lake was created. Come enjoy all that Towns County has to offer or just relax by the lake. Either way we hope you will enjoy our little home away from home.
