Special family vacation w/8 adults and one baby. Upon arrival we discovered that one tub was completely clogged and full of hair and the second tub was very slow to drain. Multiple emails, texts, and calls to American Patriot Getaways was unsuccessful in providing assistance. We then contacted VRBO who we should have contacted initially. Arrived on Tuesday and on Friday the owner became involved and sent out family friends (couple) to assist. American Patriot Getaways eventually offered a 10% discount. We requested 25% due to the plumbing issues, inability to bathe, and time it took to cycle 8 adults through one shower…not to mention the hassle and time wasted calling, waiting for call backs (some that never happened), etc. They refused. Personally, if this was my cabin I’d look for another property owner!

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We sincerely apologize that your family vacation was disrupted by the plumbing issues and our delayed response. We understand your frustration with the communication gaps and the inconvenience of working around one functional shower for days. That's unacceptable. We did refund you 10% off of your nightly rent as well as your cleaning fee which you did accept. Again, we are sorry this visit fell short for you and we do hope that in the future you will give us another chance. For the record, we do not own the property, we are the management company only which means we predominantly are responsible for renting the property. We do have to get owner approval for certain issues and if they are unavailable we only have the authority to do so much. We are sorry that this was an issue for you. We did try our best to get services to you and then refund as needed.
