2BR Beach Cottage. Updated and remodeled. OB Blue Beach Home is a very comfortable house and fun to stay at. It has parking for 2 vehicles. Nicely landscaped front yard with a porch, picnic table and hammock. BBQ in backyard. Wi-Fi. 2 blocks from the ocean and 3 blocks from Newport Avenue, the main street in Ocean Beach with shopping and restaurants. Close to the main beach. There is a Farmer's Market every Wednesday afternoon. Walking distance to dog beach. One dog under 30 lbs allowed.

The Airport, SeaWorld, Mission Beach, and Old Town are within a 10 to 15 minute drive or less. Sunset Cliffs is within walking distance or a short drive. The San Diego Zoo with Pandas and Balboa Park are less than 6 miles away. Cabrillo National Monument with amazing views of San Diego is 5 miles away. Dog Beach is within walking distance from the house.

The home is located south of Newport Avenue which tends to be more quiet. The home is a 15 minute drive to the airport. The Farmer’s Market is held on Newport Avenue every Wednesday between 4-8 pm. The front yard has a picnic table and hammock for your enjoyment.

Sit back and relax on the elevated front porch while drinking coffee and enjoy seasonal hummingbirds and watch people as they pass by. The backyard is enclosed and has a natural gas BBQ with patio furniture. You can cook a meal on the BBQ and enjoy eating it in the backyard, front yard, or on the dining room table in the house. The enclosed backyard is also a good space to allow your dog some place to move around outside.

Watch Cable TV from the living room couch. The home has Wi-Fi. The home has a washer and dryer. The kitchen is well equipped and has a microwave oven. There is a bathroom with a claw-footed tub in which you can take a shower or bath. Four beach chairs and four beach towels are provided for your convenience. This is a great home with a great feel.

There is a Motion Detector with a light in the backyard on the blue shed. The power switch to the Motion Detector light is inside the blue shed on the wall. It has tape on it to keep it in the ON position.

Very nice porch with chairs. Great for watching hummingbirds and people walking by the house.

Parking for 2 cars in driveway. There is an outside security camera above the driveway. The security camera provides views the driveway and a portion of the front yard.

There is a water leak detector under the kitchen sink, under the bathtub in the bathroom and by the washing machine. The hub for the water leak detectors is plugged into an outlet behind the TV.

HOUSE RULES:
-We are all about good vibes and relaxing stays here in Ocean Beach-this is a place to unwind and enjoy the beach, not host events. Parties, events or large gatherings are not allowed. To respect our neighbors and community, this rule is taken seriously.

-No loud or disruptive parties are allowed at anytime. Quiet hours are from 10 pm to 7 am every day. It is essential to follow the quiet hours out of respect to the neighbors. Any violation, including unauthorized guests or excessive noise, will result in a $500 fee and immediate termination of the reservation without refund.

-Smoking is Strictly Prohibited in the house and within 10 feet of the house. No smoking on the porch, backyard, front yard, picnic table or hammock. No candles are allowed. No Vaping allowed.

-One dog under 30 pounds allowed. No cats allowed. There is an additional pet fee of $150. No aggressive dogs, or dogs that have previously bitten. The following dog breeds are not allowed: No Pit Bulls or Pit Bull Mixes, Akita, American Staffordshire Terrier, Chow, Doberman Pinscher, Presa Canario, Rottweiler, Wolf Hybrid, or any dog that is a mix that includes one or more of the breeds listed.

-A dog must be crated if left alone in the house. There is a dog crate in the laundry room for a small dog. If you plan on bringing a pet, mention that at the time of booking along with the breed and weight of the dog.

-Absolutely No Subletting.

-Any Violation of the House Rules will result in a $500 fee and immediate termination of the reservation without refund.

-By booking, you are agreeing to these house rules. We truly appreciate your help in keeping our home peaceful and enjoyable for everyone.

The renter is responsible for reporting any broken or damaged items found in the house within 24 hours upon arrival to the property manager.

The gas wall heater is controlled by a thermostat on the wall. DO NOT attempt to adjust the pilot light yourself by taking off the front cover to the heater. If the pilot light needs to be turned on or off, contact the Host.

There is an Attic Fan that cools the house during the summer months if needed. Instructions for use are posted by the controls.

Miracle Method put an anti-slip surface in the bathtub. Use only non-abrasive liquid cleaners such as Mira-Clean, Formula 409, LysolTub/Tile Cleaner on the refinished surface. Do Not scrub the surface of the bathtub. Use a soft sponge or cloth to clean the bathtub. DO NOT use a bathmat with suction feet as this will damage the refinished surface of the bathtub.

Check out time: 10 am
Check out is strict at 10 am. This means the house is vacated and no cars are left in the driveway as the cleaner needs access to the driveway.

All rentals longer than 14 days must include mid-stay cleaning every 2 weeks. Each mid-stay cleaning will cost $150.

Check out instructions:
1. Leave the sheets and pillow cases on the beds. Do not strip the bedding.
2. Put dirty dishes in dishwasher and run it.
3. Turn off all fans, including the attic fan.
4. Close and lock all windows.
5. Turn off all lights.
6. Turn the thermostat to OFF when leaving the house.
7. Take out the garage cans to the street on Sunday. All garbage cans should be placed on Cable Street by the corner. The garbage cans should be returned to the driveway in front of the wooden gate when empty.
8. Lock the doors.
9. Put the key in the lockbox
