Great place for family vacation

Lots of room and well equipped. Great pool for kids! The owner lives locally and is quick to communicate and accommodate questions and concerns. We'd rent from them anytime!

Perfection in the desert

What a unique home. We had a relaxing 2 days in Palm Springs and thoroughly enjoyed this tiny rock house. It just felt like home. So quiet. Beautiful waking up looking at the mountains. Will be back for sure!!!

Amazing place for a couple & shortish time stay.

Beautiful interior & patio area, and neat "ruins" nearby. Great views, both day & night. Pretty-much a single room with bathroom & kitchen attached. Downside: not a great road into the place. When the weather is chilly, the 2 small electric heaters don't keep the room warm enough. Notwithstanding, we'd come back for sure. An eclectic & amazing place!

Family getaway.

The property was perfect. We were a party of 8 adults, a three year old and a six month old. There was plenty of room to be together and to have your own space. The views of the city and the mountains were wonderful. The swimming pool with the beach entry was great with the little ones. The house was exceptionally well stocked with plenty of dishes, silverware and small appliances. Julie was an outstanding host and was very helpful from start to finish. Julie’s generosity and warm personality made our stay all the better.

Lovely house in the best neighborhood in Palm Springs

My family and I rented this house for spring break and it couldn’t have been better. Our kids played in the pool every chance they got and we were able to go hiking right from the house. The trails were beautiful and the neighborhood really is the best in all of Palm Springs. Nestled up against the foothills, it’s quiet and peaceful with amazing access to everything. Julie was excellent as a host and the house was the most well equipped of any we’ve ever stayed in. Pool toys for the kid, puzzles and games galore and an awesome kitchen where we cooked almost every meal. If we go back to plan springs we definitely know where we will be staying.

Wonderful stay

We loved our stay at the unique rock house. It was perfect for our last couples days of our honeymoon. Very peaceful and romantic. Secluded and very different experience. Only downfall for me was that I don't do well with sleeping with bugs... I got woken up from a bug crawling on me and found 5 more after searching the bed. All small though. So we bought a mosquito/bug net and used that for the remainder of our stay and it did the trick! Would definitely recommend this place.

Great location with privacy and valley and mountain views

This is an older, well appointed home that is classic Palm Springs style! Very spacious and open. The kitchen and adjacent area is well stocked with everything you can imagine or ever need for cooking/bbq. The entire house is roomy and comfortable. Bathrooms stocked with soaps, shampoos, hair dryers, etc. TV’s and Wi-Fi throughout. Many lovely areas to enjoy, inside and out. Very comfortable and roomy. Eleven of us, six adults and five kids…. Never felt cramped. Plenty of room. Stunning views of the valley and adjacent mountains. Palm trees everywhere. The pool is perfect, especially for children. Outdoor kitchen was super handy while enjoying the backyard. Owners very nice and accommodating. Had a fabulous time.

Unique and secluded yet close to town.

This is a small round stone building that was likely influence by native american building techniques. It is circa 1920 and beautifully crafted from stone, timbers and lots of windows with special touches like built in alcoves. There are a number of stone structures nearby, one lived in, and others in ruins that occupied our time in speculation of how they all relate to each other. This is in contrast to super expensive houses visible from the property. The king bed was very comfortable with a great view. The bathroom and shower were great. The kitchen was very small and we did not try to cook in it. Numerous chairs and tables on the patio made it a great place to enjoy the views. Other than having to drive on a rough road and open a gate it was very accessible to Palm Springs. Walking around the grounds was fun and the entrance to an extensive trail system is adjacent to the property. I highly recommend climbing the steep trail for stunning views of the area. We would definitely stay in this house again. It is historic and unique.

Beautiful Home -- Terrific Owner/Hostess

First, the property. This is an absolutely beautiful home in a stunning part of Palm Springs offering wonderful views day and night. It is on a very quiet street, so there is no traffic or traffic noise. It is extremely large and comfortably accommodated the 12 guests I rented it for as their home while staying in Palm Springs for my wedding. The outside grounds -- with a stunning new heated pool -- are so nice my guests opted to forego touring Palm Springs and instead had a thoroughly enjoyable day poolside at what one guest called "their own private villa in the hills of Palm Springs." The place was immaculate, too -- everything was gleaming and sparkling. Second, and equally important, is the home's absolutely delightful owner, Julie. We could not have asked for a more gracious, friendly, or helpful owner. She helped us set the house up in advance for our guests -- putting name tags on the doors to the bedrooms and placing nice gift bags tin each room to greet them upon their arrival. We were also welcomed to have wines chilled and cocktail setups ready for my guests, which they thoroughly enjoyed poolside. Julie made the rental so easy and my guests' comfort a priority -- which I truly appreciated as I was simultaneously tending to many other details associated with the wedding. I can't thank her enough -- nor could my guests!

Bachelor Party in the Desert

Perfect spot for a bachelor/bachelorette party if you want to visit the amazing sites around. City itself is very welcoming & this cozy nook is actually quite spacious for big groups. Would stay here again!

large family holiday

We stayed over the holidays with 3 generations of family. It was an excellent experience. The location worked perfectly for us. The access to hiking trails in the neighborhood was a huge bonus. Some of our family camped in Joshua and the house is close enough that they could come over hang out some, have dinner and get back to sleep at Joshua. The neighborhood is walkable and for those who are ambitious you can even safely walk downtown. I have stayed in VRBO that claimed to have a fully stocked kitchen and then struggled to prepare a meal for a group. Not the case here, the kitchen is truly fully stocked. We were able to easily prepare meals for a group. Check in and out was effortless.The host, Julie, made our trip seamless. She responded to questions I had about the area, made catering suggestions, and was super flexible with our travel plans. She really went the extra step. I can't say enough about how accommodating she was Highly recommend

The property is great for a larger group with multiple beds and rooms throughout. The pool and hot tub were perfect. The house was very clean, well-stocked with anything you would need, and the location was excellent. Close to amenities like grocery stores and dining, yet away from traffic and busy roads. The host communicated well with our group and the check-out process was very easy. Would definitely recommend to others and stay here again for future visits.

The house is older but pretty well maintained. We have stayed as a golf group in a lot of homes over the years, but Julie's was the most trouble free by far and the best equipped. It was also the first time that we could just push a button and make the hot tub work!!!

Palm Springs Vacation

The pictures accurately reflects the home and it was clean and stocked with everything you could possibly need. When we had a question regarding the pool and spa Julie quickly responded. Our stay was marred by a stranger opening the front door and stepping in uninvited. I let Julie know and she assured us he was harmless.

Cactus to Clouds stay

My group needed a home base for a cactus to clouds hiking base camp. This location was within 5 miles of the trailhead and had a functioning spa for post hike recovery. The home was well appointed and plenty of beds to cover the crew.

Wonderful quiet getaway

Perfect house for our yearly get together. Lots of room to spread out both inside and out. The pool and jacuzzi were lovely. Close to downtown Palm Springs and hiking trails. Julie was great to work with.
