About the host

Katie and I are proud Prospect Hill residents and love sharing everything Cincinnati has to offer with visitors. Our neighborhood, Prospect Hill, is listed on the National Historic Register and is one of the city’s most charming and historic areas.
Established in the late 1870s, Prospect Hill sits just above Over-the-Rhine and offers a unique blend of historic architecture, quiet streets, and incredible proximity to the city’s energy. From here, you’re just minutes from the restaurants, breweries, and culture of OTR, as well as downtown Cincinnati’s stadiums, riverfront, and entertainment districts.
We love calling this neighborhood home and are excited to share it with guests looking to experience Cincinnati like a local.
Why they chose this property
Prospect Hill is one of Cincinnati’s hidden historic gems, perched on the hillside just above Over-the-Rhine. The neighborhood offers a unique blend of quiet residential charm and easy access to the energy of downtown.
Historic character Established in the late 1800s, Prospect Hill is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is known for its beautifully preserved 19th-century homes, colorful facades, and classic Italianate architecture. Walking the streets feels like stepping back in time while still being right in the center of the city.
Amazing views Because the neighborhood sits on a hill above the city, many streets and homes enjoy incredible views of downtown Cincinnati and the Ohio River valley.
Perfect location Prospect Hill borders Over-the-Rhine, one of the most vibrant neighborhoods in the Midwest. Guests are just minutes from some of the city’s best restaurants, breweries, coffee shops, and nightlife. Downtown attractions like Cincinnati Reds games at Great American Ball Park, Cincinnati Bengals games at Paycor Stadium, and the riverfront parks are only a few minutes away.
Quiet and local While OTR and downtown are lively, Prospect Hill itself feels peaceful and residential—making it a perfect retreat after a day exploring the city.
Guests love Prospect Hill for its historic charm, beautiful architecture, walkability to OTR, and quick access to everything Cincinnati has to offer.
