About this property

Dog-friendly A-frame cabin with 2 decks & fireplace - walk to the beach

Summary:

The Regal Bear

The Space:

Full of Lake Tahoe's classic, woodsy charm, this A-frame cabin among the pines makes a wonderful home base at any time of year. Walk a few blocks to find yourself on the lakeshore, enjoy easy access to Homewood Mountain Resort, and return home each day to a space brimming with warmth and character.

As part of the Tahoe Pines community, this two-story cabin sits less than half a mile from a beach and pier on the western shores of Lake Tahoe. Homewood is just over a mile south, offering eight lifts, 67 runs, and 1,260 acres of terrain with incredible views of the lake and mountains. This is also a fantastic location for getting out to explore, with Alpine Meadows (11 miles), Palisades Tahoe (12 miles), D.L. Bliss State Park (12 miles), and the Rubicon Trail (14 miles) all close by.

With decks on both sides of the cabin, you'll have ample space to relax outdoors and breathe in the fresh pine air. Bring your morning coffee out to the built-in benches, light the gas grill for afternoon barbecues, and scurry inside afterwards to warm up by the gas fireplace.

The cabin feels both classic and modern, with rustic wood paneling adorning the walls and sunlight streaming in through large windows. Prepare meals in the bright kitchen with stainless steel appliances, gather around the dining room table for nightly dinners and card games, and stream your favorite movies in the living room afterward. The sleeping quarters are upstairs, as is a desk workspace where you can log onto the complimentary WiFi.

Elena V.

Pretty happy overall

Cute little cabin located between Tahoma and Tahoe City. Not super close to any conveniences unfortunately (no store or restaurant near by) but only a block away from a small hoa beach. The kitchen was stuffed very well and living area had sufficient seating. Kitchen has a DW, which is a huge plus. The things to keep in mind when booking: - ifyou are a tall person you'll have hard time moving around without a risk of hitting your head on beams that run throughout both floors -shower stalls are very tight ( I'm 5'2, 110 ibs) and it was hard for me to turn around - the stairs are very steep and very sharp. Not for people with mobility issues of any kind. -second story gets super hot during the day. No A/C in the house. Beds are comfortable, plenty of bedding and pillows. Minus: no dresser in the bedroom. Overall we enjoyed our stay here.
