About the host
Hosted by Jim
Born and raised just across the way in Spokane, we’ve spent our lives exploring every trail, fairway, and fishing hole the Inland Northwest has to offer. For us, Harrison isn’t just a destination—it’s home.
When we aren’t managing the property, you’ll likely find us golfing at one of the area’s world-class courses, hiking the local ridgelines, or out on the water with a fishing rod in hand. We decided to become hosts because we believe Lake Coeur d'Alene is a hidden gem that deserves to be experienced the right way. Our goal is to provide more than just a place to stay; we want to help you curate the kind of "lake life" memories that your family will talk about for decades.

Why they chose this property
I chose Echo Bay because it is the "quiet side" of Lake Coeur d'Alene. While the north end of the lake is vibrant and busy, Echo Bay feels like a private sanctuary. I wanted a place where the only thing you hear in the morning is the water hitting the dock and the call of an osprey. It’s a rare "Silent Zone" that offers true deep-water lake frontage, yet we’re only a quick drive from the world-class amenities of Coeur d’Alene. It is, quite simply, the perfect home base for a restorative retreat.
The scene here is pure North Idaho magic. Because our property is south-facing, the house is drenched in sunlight from dawn until dusk, making the water sparkle in a way that never gets old. You’re surrounded by towering pines and granite outcroppings, with 100 feet of private waterfront right at your feet. The bay is sheltered and calm, creating a glassy surface that’s perfect for a morning kayak or a late-afternoon swim off the dock.

What makes this property unique
1. The "Ultimate Group Hub" (Bunk Room & Space): While many lake houses feel cramped, ours is designed for the "more the merry" crowd. With 3,219 square feet and a massive dedicated bunk room, we can comfortably sleep up to 12 guests. Whether you’re hosting a multi-generational family reunion or a getaway with three other couples, everyone gets a real bed and enough breathing room to actually relax. No "living room floor" sleeping required.
2. 90 Feet of Private Lakefront & Boat Slip: Forget the public docks and crowded beaches. You have 90 feet of private deep-water frontage all to yourself. We include a private dock with a dedicated boat slip, so you can bring your own craft or rent one nearby and keep it right at the house. It makes the transition from "morning coffee" to "morning water ski" seamless.
3. The South-Facing "Sun Trap": Not all lake lots are created equal. Because we are situated on a south-facing lot, the property acts as a natural sun trap. You’ll get the very first rays of the morning and the last golden glow of the evening. It makes our deck the best seat in Echo Bay for tanning, outdoor dining, or just watching the water sparkle while the north-facing properties are already in the shadows.
4. A Sanctuary in the "Silent Zone": Echo Bay is famous for its tranquility. Unlike the high-traffic areas closer to the Coeur d'Alene resort, our bay is sheltered and remarkably quiet. It’s the kind of place where you can actually hear the wind in the pines and the water lapping the shore. If your goal is to truly "unplug" and escape the noise of the city, this is your reset button.
5. Proximity to the "Big City" & The Trail: We offer the perfect "Goldilocks" location. You feel worlds away in our quiet bay, yet you’re just a few minutes from the high-end dining and shopping of downtown Coeur d’Alene. Plus, being just minutes from the Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes means world-class cycling and hiking are right at your doorstep.
