We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful mountain home! The views are truly stunning, and the house is such a wonderful place to relax, unwind, and enjoy the mountains. It’s a great home for everyone, and especially thoughtful for families with kids. We really appreciated all the little details, including the kids’ camping toys and other touches that made the stay extra fun and comfortable for children. You can tell the hosts put a lot of thought into making guests feel welcome. Between the gorgeous setting, beautiful home, and thoughtful amenities, great communication, this place is a real gem. We would happily stay here again!
Kitchen was adequately equipped; plenty of dinnerware/silverware; pots/pans. Would have liked the refrigerator water/ice makers to be on. Grill worked great! Hot tub was great; worked perfectly. Bathrooms could use more soap/shampoo/conditioner (than the travel sizes provided). Beds were good if you like firm (half our party loved them; half thought too firm...perhaps add some mattress toppers). View was spectacular! Living space was great! All in all a great property!
Wonderful stay at Nightingale Nest!Property is very secluded and quiet. Home is exceptionally well appointed- fully stocked kitchen, lots of games, and hot tub with great views. There are actually 4 bedrooms, not 3.It should be noted that the average sedan cannot make it to the house due to the steep gravel roads. An SUV, truck, or 4WD is required. The road could potentially be impassable in the winter or periods of heavy rain.

Thank you so much for the 5-star review. We really appreciate it! We’re so glad you enjoyed your stay and loved everything you mentioned 😊
We also really appreciate you calling out the road conditions. We’ve updated our listing to make that clearer for future guests and recommend arriving in an SUV, truck, or 4WD (especially if there’s rain or winter weather).
Thanks again for staying with us, and we’d love to host you again anytime!

Liked: Cleanliness, location, listing accuracy
Disliked: Check-in
While the house is a little dated and was missing some kitchen items we would consider standard, like dish towels, it was a beautiful setting with great views and plenty of room. The game room was awesome and a lot of fun, and the sauna is a great feature. The bunk beds were not comfortable at all and the top bunks are too close to the ceiling for adults. It was a little difficult to reach the hosts quickly, so be sure you have all info beforehand. We did not receive the checkin email so we had to call for info and it took a few minutes. Note that cell signal is virtually absent on that side of the mountain if you aren't on the wifi. There were not enough towels in the house. Each person basically had one for the entire weekend. The absence of sufficient towels/linens is a big miss. No extras whatsoever could be found. So...We had a great time, and its a good rental, but in the future we suggest the host be sure the checkin email is sent, and they reconsider the towel/linen situation throughout the house.
We had an amazing stay at this cabin! It was exactly as pictured, but somehow even better in person. The cabin was clean, well-maintained, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The views were absolutely breathtaking and easily one of the highlights of our trip. We spent hours enjoying the scenery from the deck and never got tired of it. The location was peaceful and relaxing while still being convenient to nearby attractions.A quick note for future guests: the road leading to the cabin might make your palms sweat a little if you’re not used to mountain driving. We live at sea level and have very little experience with steep mountain roads, so the drive definitely got our attention! That said, after the first trip up and down, we felt much more comfortable, and the stunning views at the top made it completely worth it. By the end of the weekend, we felt like honorary mountain drivers.Overall, this property exceeded our expectations in every way, and we would not hesitate to stay here again. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a beautiful mountain getaway!
